factory stunt bike
Re: factory stunt bike
isn't there a Christian pfieffer (sp?) special edition stunt bmw that you can buy off the showroom floor?
honestly I hope the big 4 start producing a bit tougher machines though.. waaay too many plastic breakables, weak mounts, and what not nowadays.. I mean look at a dirtbike or snocross sled.. the makers of them KNOW they are going to be beaten on and damn do they ever take a beating without bending or breaking things...
I mean hell you can huck a stock race sled over a 200 foot jump and you might break your face but the sled will be unscathed... drop your bike in the parking lot? you're fucked.

Re: factory stunt bike
From one of the Japan companies???
NEVER!
The market is Way too small.
Plus what would be the price range? Stock 600s going for 8,499 or so. Plus all the extras. Price would be way into the 12,000 if not up to the 14,000. For a 600??? Naahhhh...

Re: factory stunt bike
i woulnt doubt if they did make a more easily stunted bike soon, but i wouldnt expect it to be a perfect stuntbike no..
but i bet they will make something like the kawasaki 650R might come stock with a cage, handbrake and big sprocket setup.
but who knows... Kawasaki is very interested in learning about all the little mods that we do to our bikes.. they were very intrigued by the handbrake setup and how i have my clipons done too...
if they did make one i doubt it would have the name STUNT anywhere around it.

Re: factory stunt bike
I was told to expect the prices of new sportbikes to have a solid 3-4k increase in the next year regardless

Re: factory stunt bike
Anyone seen the Yamaha tricker pro? That was a one-off bike. It's a kind of crossbread trials, street, bmx bike with pegs. That's a start to what we could see come from Yamaha or another major brand

Twelve bar optional.
Re: factory stunt bike
Being a sales manager at a motorsports complex here in Iowa, I think the manufactures could make a factory ready bike. Taking the leading edge performance and feather weight aspect out of the picture would keep costs down. Come out with a bike similiar to the f4i with handbrake, gearing, and cage factory. That would work right??

Twelve bar optional.
i bet though that it would end up being a streetfightered version, and probably not their flagship 600 but their ST 600 like the F4i or the Zz600R (old zx6r)
if it was even an inline 4, those bikes probably sell good enough as it, they would probably push their smaller vtwin bikes like the sv650 or 650R
but again... who knows?!
