F4i cracked rear rotor

I was changing my rear pads on my f4i today and noticed 2 cracks in the rotor...was wondering if anyone else has had this prob. and if there is any solution to prevent this on the next rotor.....

yeah, ur still riding ur brake too hard most likely, I've run cracked rotors a bunch though too.

yea its hard not to ride the brake....doing combo circles and alot of stall tricks

Yep... i've cracked a couple. No biggie.... just ride it till ya find another, then use stock pads on the new one!

Your talkin about the little tiny cracks that go from the outermost hole to the edge, yeah?

And if it makes ya feel any better... i didn't crack any till I started workin on circles/circle combos.

running a single caliper with 1000rr front master and full throttle rear master......running idle pretty low i would say prob. round 2500 to 2800

i meant low like 1200-1500. lets you use alot less brake

my boy cracks his all the time, the first time we found it it was almsot all the way through. there 10 bucks.

idle isnt the issue, i run mine at 4k and never cracked one yet.

wear and tear, pressure and temperature. to imagine how much stress is on them at times, hard to believe they don't crack more often. Only had one out of 4 crack on me

i rock mine on the highway seat standers and so on,for a couple of miles,im always on the brake a least a little bit,helps me keep the gixxer smoth,no fade or anything...it started fading me a while ago, i changed the fluid and never did again,and no cracks in rotors..

Mine is cracked on my zx, Got a galfer wave rotor on the way, I also use HH pads the hardest made thus the most friction, right.

glowing those brakes huh, u could still run it if u want its just gona go threw pads quiker but u should replace it . i have a spair if u need it.

No big deal.Went through a few myself.Upgraded to galfer for the last part of summer so we will see what happens.One of mine was from a locked caliper too.Funny when your doing a show you forget about your well being.LOL
