radial master for stoppies

ok i have asked this before but im trying to deside. heres my idea of a none radial and some things i have noticed. when i snap the brakes to bring it up as the bike becomes waitless it alwasy wants to just swing up really hard. the one time i used a radial id snap the brakes up it came and strait to bp it went. i only noticed it was more grabby up there. so what would you run the none radial (like a 929 master) that dose not make it so easy to get it up but is more forgiving or a radial that makes stoppies easy to bring up and has more feel but is more tuchy. now before all the smart *** remarks come im not new to stoppes and i can roll fuccking far. lets hear it

I used a radial mount off of an '05 GSXR on my 03 zx6rr when i first got the bike (the month it was streetfightered at stuntwars '05) anyways i couldnt get the thing to do stoppies at all with that master. I switched to the stocker '03 Kawi NON radial 14mm and it worked like a charm...

Re: radial master for stoppies

i change my 03 636 over to a 1000rr master and loved it. only problem i had was levers were hard to come buy and highchair circles tended to break them when i crash. i think its all about what you feel confidant with. try a few things and go with what works best for you.

Re: radial master for stoppies

I changed my 03 636 master to a GSXR radial, I like it but Ive had Brembo radial masters on all my previous street bikes before I started stunting. So Im used to the radial feel and regular masters feel different and weak... Plus Im using the 05 rotors and the 05 uses the same master as the GSXR one, so basically its the 05 636 setup...Also use the same master as my HB

Re: radial master for stoppies

yes they do tend to feel weak BUT once you are up there it is more forgiving!

Neither is better then the other, if your used to your setup and comfortable with it thats what matters....I just like the feel better so I choose to get used to that setup....

I know this is off topic, but is that an msr on your bike? If so, do you like it?

Sorry to jack the thread.

Re: radial master for stoppies

yeah small bore for single pot calipers is good (HB), huge bore for 4-6 pot dual calipers is the way to go, super consistant feeling everytime u hit the brakes. also insted of running a regular RESI if u run the race tube system it helps suction back the pistons when u release the break, just some new fyi

Re: radial master for stoppies

19x20 is the way to go for front brakes, that guy is a racer and deals with racers, ask him what the track guys buy up, they hate that the aftermarket radials are banded from WERA, you know why, cause its consistant feeling and feed back is just not fair against the people who run stock.

Yup this I know and the 05+ are actually Titanium or at least Titanum anodized! Front wheel spacers are all the same width and the right side rear spacer from the 03/04 is the same as both bikes front spacers...Only both left and right side spacers from the 05+ are different....Did you get the rear wheel and caliper spaced out yet?
