Here is the deal right from my mouth (not a rumor).
I have been getting phone calls about Tim, Shuggs and I getting bashes on stunt life about the way the site is ran....

Let me explain our job titles so you know were to fwd your complaints to.
Kyle Woods (Advertising sales) Banner Sales only no site moderating authority!
Tim Barnes (CFO) All financial dealings, No site moderating.
Shuggs (Founder / Chief Moderator) 100% of all forum posting, sales. Advertising moderation! Shuggs has the final say so on every word typed on this site.

However there are rules about this site everyone must follow. Even I can get kicked off if I was to break one of the following....
No bad language or threatening others.
No free advertising (this includes promoting your product in the forums).
If you pay for banner space then you can speak and advertise your product freely thought the entire forum.

This is only the beginning of what happens when our sport goes mainstream.
Be careful what you wish for. It only gets worse.

Not out of left field but doesn't leave a lot of room for anything other than banner ad marketing. Product placement type stuff generates traffic. As the sport goes mainstream, not everyone who sees stunt films will be on stunt life. Or maybe they will if stunt life has some presence in any given film's packaging or content.

It seems like bro deals with the media/video community wouldn't be entirely pointless. The joint venture is they get market exposure for their dvd and you get market exposure from their dvd. It's all clean and simple and doesn't cost you anything you weren't already doing. And it's a friendlier way of doing business.

ETA not criticizing, because I could not run a forum if I had to. Or do anything else Kyle Woods and Tim Barnes can do.

This has nothing to do with advertising your product. If you want to advertise your DVD, your Crash Cages, your new invention of CDI boxes then you have to pay for a banner.
