I've got a 929 ecu if you are interested, I accept paypal. However, make sure you really need it. I'd hate to sell anyone something they don't need.
E rack, if you think you need it, PM me.

Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
how do i test the starter relay, this is all bad, im used to just puttong stuff together n it work, mechanical problems for people n stuff, i can wire a bike but i cant trouble shoot cgi boxes ecu's n relays, i just dont got the equipment
Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
if you jump the relay terminals the starter should kick over. if it does spin you have a bad relay or bad wiring coming from the starter button if everything is as you say. if it doesnt you have a bad starter or weak battery. there could always be a broken wire somewhere.
i was working on a friends zx-9. i got it to start after he wrecked it but after i cut it off it wouldnt start again. it took weeks and a bunch of useless parts only to find out that the clutch switch was plugged in but not all the way. i snapped it all the way in and it started right up, hate to stress it but make sure everything is plugged in as well

battery fine i just used it to start up my stunter, the cluth switch is a good idea though, i got the gas tank off n started on the intake cus it was knocked off too, would the starting problem have anything to do with the headlight not coming on though? i did a visual and shake check on the bulbs and their good im looking for a voltage tester to see of there's any juice coming to the wires there, theres a white plug with 3 yellow wires that got busted apart too, it spawns from the wires that go to the cgi box in the tail and connect by the gas tank, they all color code yellow to yellow but theyre all the same color yellow, if these are switched up could that be a reason too?

Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
You have to pull out the ignition to see the diode. It is on the bottom of the ignition. Its not really that hard you just have to have that star key tool to do it.

Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
i had a similar problem with mine not too long ago (apart from the truck)..... pull apart your killswitch/starter housing. and take the metal plate off underneath.
there will be 4 wires under there... one is for headlight cutout when you hit starter button, and the other 3 have to do with starting the bike
mine actually disconnected itself through wheelies (dry solder joint), causing major hassles for me, took me 4 hours to find out it was a ****ing loose wire under the killswitch/starter housing. at this time, the bike was in a million pieces hahaha
give that a go, and let us know if it helps

Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
I got the service manual in PDF if it will help you any. But you will definetly need a voltmeter or at least a test light and some commone circuit knowledge to figure it out. Shouldn't be that hard though. I would diag the starter problem first and then move on to the lights unless they are connected. Looks like a pretty simple circuit though. Did you try jumping the relay yet? Checking at the relay first will eliminate half of your circuit and point you in the right direction.

Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
i let my ninja sit for like a month and when i got on it would not start well i got new battery and checked fuses. It was the starter button, try to push the button hard one time that what i got to do with mine now
Re: 929 help greatly appreciate it
definitely check your eng. stop switch. it may have grounded it self in the accident and like joker said there is a lighting wire there also..i see tons of bikes come through our shop with the no start when all it is is the dumbie switch ( kill switch) I went down on my 929 @ 15mph and the eng stop swith went bad. you should also check your starter like eveeryone else said.
