Craig Jones/New Stoppie World Record

He used a hundred-odd pounds of front-end ballast. Cheater...

Official Harley-Davidson/Buell Press Release:
CRAIG JONES AND BUELL SET ANOTHER WORLD RECORD
Craig Jones, Buell Motorcycles professional extreme rider with two solo stoppie Guinness World Records, has been busy rewriting the record books and rules of extreme riding once again. This time, however, Jones has set the Guinness World Record for the longest two-man stoppie. Riding an astonishing 305 meters (1,000 feet) on the Buell Firebolt XB12R's front wheel, Jones and former European champion and co-rider Wing Chui set the new milestone at the UK's Donington Park race circuit. Chui was mounted on an extension to the front wheel spindle and held on tightly at a starting speed of 100 mph with the Donington track just a few inches beneath him.

Commenting on his latest world best, Craig said, "Wing and I have worked and performed together for several years and you need to have total faith in each other, especially when you have two guys sharing the same motorcycle and performing maneuvers that test your body and the bike to the limit. This record attempt was our way of pushing the Buell Firebolt and our own capabilities further than ever before and we think we managed to conclusively prove that Buell motorcycles are capable of some pretty extraordinary things."

Matthew Knott, Buell's European Brand Manager, said, "Craig continues to set new standards in extreme riding and this latest record left many of Buell's own engineers totally speechless. What makes it all the more impressive is that his Buell Firebolt is entirely unmodified apart from a set of motocross style handlebars which replaced the standard option and the extension to the front wheel spindle for Wing."

In 2003, Craig Jones set the world's longest solo stoppie record of 225 meters on his Buell and the very next year he beat his own record by reaching a staggering 266 meters on the Buell Firebolt.

Wing Chui is the "hundred odd pound ballast" that Aaron is reffering to. Or in the words of John Goodman....It's the chinaman dude.

Yeah but you can't rag on the guy for modifying his bike to suit his purpose, thats like saying anyone that gears their bike is a cheater.

The Buell looked stock in the pics, except for the 140-pound "chinaman" (awesome reference btw, "dude") standing on the pegs mounted to the front axle. It was a tandem stoppie record, so in this instance ballast wasn't optional.

Re: Craig Jones/New Stoppie World Record

100 lb weight in the front + 100lb chinese guy = normal single passenger bike.
still pretty sick that two people rolled 1000 feet though.

Re: Craig Jones/New Stoppie World Record

2 up 1000ft thats fukin awesome!!! much props!

there is no arguing it can be done on a stock bike, im sure even he will tell you that. but taking my own experience with guniess book and press. I know that those added ballasts, crazy suspension setups, IE: other 'gimmicks' done to the bikes are the kind of thing that the general public LOVE! everyone who ever talks about the wheelie king domockus talks about his motorized front wheel.

i understand now having done something similar, and can totally appreciate what he is doing thats awesome!!!

regardless of gimmicks or not.. fact is 1000ft 2up is straight up crazy, wild, technical, and awesome!!!!!
