Re: coaster circles???

i'd have to seriously see vid of any coast circles more than 1 full revolution...if you are on the limiter, it is not a true coast....which is why in coaster comps, there is no rev limiter and idles are down.

however, revlimiter o's are sick regardless of whether you do em like carmichael or just get 1 or 2

had em 1 revolution sit down with bike off on the motard

I've seen people do coaster comps with thier idle at around 4K.......not cool.

I personally think everyone should have to turn off the bike within 50-100' of the coast so their is no discrepancies.

well not neccesarily 50-100ft of coast slipping the clutch wont reall do much or high rpms its when you start to slow down at 101ft thats when it should be shut off lol

Thats what I'm talking about. Do your approach and hit the mark to start the coaster. You must shut your bike off within 100' after that mark and keep it off until the bike rolls to a stop.

I hear that. Someone who can pull off rev limiter clutch slips gets props from me. I didn't even know people could do that without flippin over or changing clutch plates every week.

Re: coaster circles???

some people dont set up their clutch with enough play so the clutch is still pulling even though its ingaged

but if you have enough play in your clutch it shouldnt still pull when your doing rev coasters

Re: coaster circles???

So whats everyone elses opinion on the subject? I've always thought longest coaster should be with the bike shut off. Am I wrong or do more people feel this way??

not off cus alot of people have there kill switches wired off, or there keys are cut...plus unless u practice turning ur bike off while coasting its sumthing u hafta think about, and can destract u from the coaster, and prevent u from doing ur best...i think the idle shud be at stock or lower and it wud be fair...no to mention unless u have ur clutch wires rigged u cudnt start ur bike back up and it might lead to sum intresting crashes
