Not wanting to bust on anyone but i've really wanted to say this for a long time. LOL where did this come from....Who cares about the fastest top speed??? How many even take part in going over 150??? Its funny how people are magically drawn to that magic number . If one really thinks about it, it is one of the least significant statistics in motorsports....James Stewart can smoke anyone on an 80 with a fouled plug and a cracked reed petal , truth hurts but top speed number is a gimmick and that all it will ever be. Good reppin' the sponsor though. Which reminds me id like to thank Works Connection, Cycra, Scott, Factory Effex.....and Chimaira :YEAH for pumping me up before shows & races.

yo... i agree with everyone about top speed really isnt number one but think about it once...danger attracts fans and although anyone who stunts knows how hard it is to circle why would anyone dad take there kid to see that? Thats like a dad taking his kid to watch golf or bowling, only the golf clubs and bowling ball are 5,000 dollars which stops alot of people from getting into this sport... I think that technical stuff is deffinatly needed but there has to be some danger compared to FMX and roadracing and other extreme sports... but then again this is coming from a guy that cant keep a wheelie below 30 mph yet

In every "extreme sport" theres two styles...


1.) Ballsy- Throwing yourself down a huge stair case(skateboarding), or DMC backflipping over a helicopter(bmx) or grabbing a fist full of front brake goin way faster than most. Mostly all that does is turns head, and thats about it.

2.) Techinical- Huge lines that flow well, like skateboarders going from flip tricks to grinds, to a manual, to a spin, to somthing else and so one, etc.. Or in this sport, sllooooow circles, (slow stuff in general) combos, and all that jazz. Thats what earns respect. THATS what shows you know your ****, and have control.

 

Yes you make a good point... sometimes when a rider is SO skilled & SO smooth, they make it look SO easy that there is little thrill aspect to it for the fans who have little understanding ro appreciation of the extreme technical aspect of it... so the guy with the sorta messy but crazy verge-of-disaster style is the one that has the crowd on the edge of their seats holding their breath. Sucks, but it's the way it is. Actually i wouldn't say it sucks so much.. it serves to even or broaden the playing field a bit on second thought. Some put on a better show for judges, some for crowds. I like the 2 different factions myself, who wants one single linear standard for stunting? It removes the whole "freestyle" aspect of it IMO.

DMC did it over a CH 53 just outside of the air base in pensicola florida... i think it was DMC.... 90% sure, i was there and i cant remember. But i know Mike did it too.

Let me guess, when someone breaks the world record for summersaults, or someone breaks the world record for longest jump rope spree, your gonna be complaining saying "ooh, but they didn't do the coolest summersaults, or ooh they didn't do the coolest tricks while jump ropin"

Thats bogus, "discovery has all the rights to the footage" Yea, that must be why we only see him ride if for uh... NOT TO A STOP. And the fact he had all day practing, got the bike free, and had all the **** set up on it already. If he were to eat **** on it "OH ****!" BOOOM, when hes out the hospital "Oh well, i didnt pay for the bike"

Anyone else that rolls out there with THEIR bike... hell no.

And plus one to whoever said this already, HE got a bike out of the deal, so why not put that bike on the line? I mean, it didnt come from his wallet.
