I have SMF Chris at my back and Young has a serious piece of machinery that i may be able to use. Think it's a bad idea?

 

i dont think that harms the view of our sport one bit, if anything adds the mystique that surrounds it to those that dont know much about it.

 

so my people at discovery called and wanted to inquire about whether or not the athletes involved would be interested in donating the winnings to charity...

..i told them i highly doubt it, but would ask.
so there? does that idea change anyones opinions?

I didn't want to impose my opinion on the candidates that would be most likely to win this contest....but since you're here . If I had to put money on anybody, it would be you or Cramer.....of course you'd both have to be on point, get bikes, dust off the helmets and leave the beer in the fridge during training.

 

The charity thing would be so good for the sports image...especually if its announced on TV on such a big network, kind of like the Toy Runs the off-road club around here does at this time of yr.

But ofcourse its up to the crazy SOB's that are willing to compete!

you obviously haven't gone 160mph before....i wonder if the local funeral home will do a charity wake and burial for the guy who goes over at that speed.

 

like i said before, i don't want to see friends get worked for someone elses rep...cause the money is bullshit...

discovery channel wants these guys to risk their lives and then take all the money and donate to charity...**** them. anyone that enters this fuct idea of a contest should walk away with at least the grand they put in for not getting drilled...how is a television network with execs who make more than 10k in a week gonna ask guys who are killing themselves riding shows for alot less to give their money away?

doesn't make sense to me...ask an nfl player to get drilled for an entire game and then turn over the money he earned for that game to charity...they will laugh at you...

make the prize worthwhile to these guys...discovery wants to go big, tell them to up that **** to at least 50k of their own money...cause if someone eats **** at 120 50k might cover the hospital bill if they survive...

Actually "anything"that gets aired isn't necessarily good for the sport.I would have to say that the majority of public opinion on what we do is that we are a bunch of reckless *ssholes that are going to kill ourselves or somebody else.And a competition like this just might prove it to them.Do you really want people to think were all out there pullin up 150mph stoppies on the freeway?

 

**** risking getting hurt and then turning around and giving the money to charity..that money is earned and deserved for the winner....they should keep it

i disagree completely....the only time you see this crap on the news is when some dumb idiot did a wooly by an pre-school and killed a couple kids..... ......
