aint about distance, it is about speed. the odds arent bad either, you have a one in ten chance of making ten times as much loot as you paid.

I can put the event on at the pompano airport (5 min from Ft Lauderdale) and the winner would keep the video rights. small crowd, half hour each of practice on saturday, 3 runs sunday and the rider keeps his best run.
your run starts when the rear wheel leaves the ground, ride the front wheel until the motorcycle comes to a complete stop. 1k buy-in. i would sell limited tickets to pay for the medics and the airport. 25 bucks per ticket for about 100 tickets. I would make no money from this event.

The challenge was simple laid out with ground rules, practice times, and entry fees. Why is everyone trying to change his rules/place etc.?
