whats the best way

whats the best way to learn brake control i have been stunting for a while now my mistake was i never practice brake control i can ride standup wheelies, spreaders, highchairs flamigos all your basic stunts for a quarter mile i have real smooth throttle control no chopping my bike has a handbrake just cant get used to useing it (Trusting it),or the foot brake ,i have stock gearing clutch it up in 2nd from about 3 mph and get it up to about 70 80mph constant just dont want to loop should i buy a dirtbike or quad to learn ,what is the best to learn brake control (most similar to bike)

Re: whats the best way

you clutch 2nd at 3mph??? you're killing your clutch if you are...

Remove your handbrake lever and concentrate on the foot brake. Just jab it every now and then while the front wheels up and you'll get the feel for it.

Too many newbs are in a hurry to do thingss like spreaders, high chairs, seat standers etc. just to look cool quick.... instead of focusing on the fundamentals of bp, brake and throttle control

Re: whats the best way

practice the rear brake in sitdowns and standups. if you really cant get it on a big bike a 50 can really help with that

Re: whats the best way

best way to learn brake control IMO is to just practice, practice and then keep practicing more. and then repeat this over again till it happens without thinking. if you have smooth throttle than its a good start. keep at it, looks good bro .

Re: whats the best way

i was just gonna jump in about the tl. ya you can clutch it up from that low of speed on the twins. im gettin into stuntin my rc51. love that big twin engine breaking. xr/crf 50's work great for building your brake control and confidence in trusting the rear brake.

I had a tiller there sick bikes!!! but for stunting not the best, keep that **** minty and get an f4i...... but working your brake will come after time...soon you will have to tell your foot not to hit the brake cuz it just works it with out you thinking about it!!
