pro just means you get paid for something, not that your any good at it .

I think this thread is intended to expand the definition of pro. Clarifying the lines is an important organizational move, and the fact that there are people in your sport taking the initiative to put it all in order says great things about where you're all headed.

The fact that it's being organized out in the open with requests for input and direction is fantastic, and also speaks to the tightness of the stunt community.


I don't know if I can stand to say this anymore, but getting paid has nothing to do with your skill as a competitor. it says you can stunt, and you market yourself, or someone else markets you. How you place in competitions defines whether you are pro or amateur competitor.

 

i dunno i think to sum it all up its really simple.

compete pro if you think you are one, and if you have questions as to wether or not you qualify as one.. you probably are...

compete amatuer if you think you are one, and if you have questions as to wether or not you qualify as one... you probably arn't...


we are freestyle, with freestyle comes different opinions, from everyones POV. there will always be people upset at comps, its the way it goes.
no use in arguing and fighting it. learn, read, do, the rules and if you are interestig in winning, then DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO WIN. if you think silly crowd antics wins.. then do it. if you think technical upsidedown backwards circlewheelies wins... then do it.

let the judges do what the judges do, and get ready to cry about it later!
