Re: steering slow wheelies?
I have the same problem. Most of the time I can take freeway turns(regular ones that i'm probably using lane changing body english to steer) and I've even taken some tight tight freeway turns. But at 10, 15, 20mph on the street when I'm way back I can't seem to do it. some times I do it but I think people including myself get it mixed up when somebody says just lean. Most of the time I just automatically lean my body off the bike and I guess kinda twist it in the direction I wanna go when I should be leaning the actual bike over in the direction I wanna go just like what it looks like when somebody is going into a circle. I've gotta train myself to lean the actual bike over and i think that is a problem a lot of people have start-n out. when I'm on the freeway and actually hit a tight turn i realize in the middle of it that I'm leaning off the bike but I'm also leaning the bike over but i guess it is easier cuz your going faster and the bike holds itself up more, it doesn't feel like if you lean the bike its going to just fall over like on the street.
Re: steering slow wheelies?
Dont just lean with your hips OR shoulders.. Move it all at the same time and put weight on whatever peg you want the bike to go. If you lean right but push off on your left peg then your not really doing much infact the bike will just go straight.. Lean right with your hips AND shoulders and get your weight on the right peg. what usually helps me is pushing the handle bars the way you want even in slow wheelies...helps me move to the side the tire is turned..but thats my
..but also leaning is a factor too...
