Re: so i rode a f4i for the first time tonight!!!
well can i ask a serious question about the reason most stunters rock f4i's????
because i caint understand why the whole community can ride 1 bike, it is just so much you can polish ****, and it still stinks.
i understand about the durability, and pegs, etc... but there are mods you can do to the countless other makes and model bikes out there. that beside the crash it and pick it up situation, would make alot of bikes better than the f4i for stunting.
honestly, i just wanna know what the deal is. basically, you see 40 f4i's at the spot, all painted differently, and some streetfightered, and some full fairing. but it just gets kinda booring, watching the same bike get served.
whats the deal?

power is smooth but its got a really narrow BP and what feels like a peaky low end powerband, it is really smooth off idle though and if your up high in the RPMs its a lot easier to ride.

i had a f4i, and learned on it pretty fast, but liked the power, feeling of the 636 better (once i got used to the different riding posisition)
Re: so i rode a f4i for the first time tonight!!!
i like my f4i beczuse of how small it is. its very narrow nice for seeing around it in sitdowns. The r6 feels like a boat with that wide tank. also the R6 and a LOT of new bikes are engineered around racing, making them lighter and more fragile, I know for a fact the 05-06 636 can barley take a fall in the drivway without busting a rearset, but a few guys are still killing them because they got "good" on another bike. I like riding what everyone else has because then you can share parts also, you break somthing at a show or the spot then its a good possibility somone there has it. IDK each to his own if you want to rock out the R6 do it but its gonna make a LOT of tricks harder to learn and with it being fragile your gonna break a lot more learning, IMO its easier to learn on an F4i or somthing more durable then get your minty looking R6 or bike of your choice and transfer your skills to it.

We got a new spot and we're riding today... Written permission too!
I PMed you my number if you wanna come up and ride! Not too big but if you got slow wheelies down it's no problem.

The 01-03 f4is are definately faster than the 04-06. My 01 will walk all over my friends 06. When I ride his 06 the power just seems soft. My best friend has an 05 r6 and that one definately rips. I will definately admit it as having a better motor than the f4i, however, it is also a lot more fragile. I work at a shop and we have seen 10+ R6s come in with wasted 2nd gear and high rpm gear problems (kicking out of gear at 10000rpm plus). I agree with the R6 being hard to wheelie. On my f4i I can rock up first then go slow or shift through the gears and go a few miles, on his r6 Im lucky if I can make it a quarter of a mile. The bike just feels really tippy, the chassis just feels very nervous. I definately do not like the steering geometry of those bikes. just my .02

I can admit.... that f4i is mad smooth on the throttle, the response seems sluggish... but I suppose that's what you want on a stunna. my R6 seems to have taught me outrageous throttle control on other less responsive bikes, but I seem to still be touchy as hell on my R6. which is a good challenge for me to have, because once I get it totally smooth on that, i can only imagine how it will feel on others. when I rocked the f4i it was a lot easier to slow it down though.....
what about the 600RR? I wanna roll one of them next, basically I amjust trying to see what the fuss on honda is all about.

the weight and balance distriubtion n the bike, they came with sport touring positioned clipons on and you're right, the neww ones have a lower seat. the bike mimics a yzf 600r and vice versa, and the passenger bars are great for skitchen and low seat stander support. stunting an f4i is ironically like riden a fat girl, it's easy to get on and do stuff but there's always a bitter sweet ending

i love my F4I i have rode many diffrent bikes 600's 750 an a few 900's an granted just about all of them felt like had more power an felt like they pulled harder then the F4I none of them felt as smooth, but it can be cause thats just what im used to riding to. get in where ya fit in

that has to be the easiest thing i have ever wheelied, balance point is extremely low.... and it was way to comfortable!! it was the latest bananaseat model, and it was minty as hell, 502 miles on it.
i can see why you guys like to stunt em, but is there that much of a difference between models of f4i's beside the seat.
this one felt outrageously comfortable, compared to older f4i's i have sat on.... or is my mind playin tricks on me?
i was killin the foot in the sissy handle standup
first time i did some **** like that, it felt more like riding a quad.... closest thing i can match the feeling to. i will stay on my more difficult R6, but man that **** was easy!

When my F4i is running right, I love it... but when it overheats and $hit like every 20 mins and runs like **** I hate it. Atleast when my 929 was running crappy it still ran great!
