Deffinetly a CBR600 F2 or F3 is a good choice.
I am personally a V-Twin man. So I vote for the SV650. Or if you are lucky enough to find one, a Honda Hawk GT. Both great little bikes.
Anywho, my 2cents.

James
here's a bike
people around where i live keep asking this question
get a dual purpose bike, they are easy to wheelie and find the balance point, plus you can practice off road too! And you can get a used one for a cheaper price too
plus when stuck in traffic you can hop curbs with these, where as sportbikes and cruisers cant, because they are too low to the ground. They are lighter and once you get used to driving with all the nuts out there and you havent crashed too much then you can move up to other bikes! and you wont have to ask which bike because you know what you can handle by then!
