footpeg bracket

I have a 2000 Gsx-r 600 completely caged and twelve bar sprockets and love to stunt. I was out practicing the other day in a parking lot and I got vertical and my left rear footpeg bracket snapped off. Does anyone know of an aftermarket bracket that is steel or a solution so i dont get the crap scared out of me again. Thanks

Re: footpeg bracket

Yeah i dont want to weld it I am just hoping that someone out there makes a steel bracket to avoid this cause that was pretty much how I looked I threw my foot back up scraped and set it back down. I just cant believe that with all the guys that stunt that no company makes an aftermarket bracket that will be stronger

you dont want it stronger youll brake your frame just shortin your peg about an inch so when you crash they dont hit the ground

+1... the added stress on the subframe/frame will be really bad.

and it may not have hit the ground this time but it has before, and there were probulby internal cracks in the rearset that slowly got worse til it snapped

Re: footpeg bracket

well judging by th scrapes on the bottom of it yes it has hit the ground before and worse than my just laying it over by the looks of it the kid before me laid it down good. But hw can i shorten the peg when it is only an inch out of the bracket? And I was going to make a solid peg should i leave it folding to reduce stress as well
