F4I/954 head bearings??

I have a complete 954 front end that I would like to put on my F4I. Does anyone know what head bearings to use or a part number?

Get a set of Honda CBR954 Taperd Bearings (Stock ones aren't tapered) they should be exactly the same size as the F4i outer diameter, just pull out the F4i ones out and put in the Tapered 954 Bearings in.... Then you'll be laughing.

(Double check with your Honda dealer I think you will find the stock bearings are the same part number for both F4i and 954).

All ballz.. You can get them from parts unlimited or order them on there site. $35 tapered ball bearings. Google all ballz.. Cheapest around...You get new races and bearings. I just put them in for my 954 conversion. The f4i and 954 are the same so you could order either one...

DO NOT get tapered bearings... they WILL NOT FIT.

Unless you wanna pull out the races, just get stock f4i round bearings.

Tappered rollers are not worth the hassle of swaping the races.

The races are not hard at all to remove. You just knock them out with a socket extension and tap the new ones in. Takes 30 seconds. I did the conversion a couple months ago.

The races are simple. Mines well replace them at the same time. Who gives a $hit what there called, same thing..... You don't want to put worn out races with new bearings.....

Kids who go to their dealer and ask for "tapered bearings" give a sh*t when they get home only to find out that they now need to go back to the fuking dealer to buy new tapered races.

Races may be simple... but it's even simpler to buy the right bearings the first time and forget about races. There's no need to touch them.

Um... the All Ballz kit comes with NEW bearings, seals, AND races. Its nice to have new everything in there when you are putting alot of force and weight on that point for stoppies.

If he went to the dealer and asked for them he would of gotten the whole set. I bought a set last month. Thats why i told him. You should always replace races when doing bearings. Why tell him to do it half a$$. My friend used the stock races with new BALL BEARINGS with his 954 front end and there was play so he had to buy the all *****...
