cr125?

how would a cr125 be to practice on? I've been using the 929, but I got so much into it that I find myself not pushing to hard for fear of trashing it. really would like an f4i, but I'm not going to pay 3k+ for a crunchy one, so until one comes along for cheaper...

Where in my question can you assume that?

I can't kill it or nothing, but I think if I can handle the 9 without loppin a little 125 is not that big a deal.

Just wondering how decent a 2 stroke would be to practice on until I find an f4i or something along those lines.

I got the basics on the 929, just don't want to trash it, the things in great shape.

Re: cr125?

thanks for the info, so it's worth trying though? I've been riding dirt bikes and stuff since I was 8 and riding street for 7 years. Never really tried much in the way of stunts on the 2 stroke though... jumping and some little wheelies, that's about it, rest was wooded trails, sandpits, and stuff like that.

Re: cr125?

Oh, and the only reason I ask is there's a good running 89 cr125 down the rd for 400 bucks, seems like I can't go wrong, as long as there ok to stunt.

Re: cr125?

save the money you would spend on the cr125 for parts incase you dump the 929.

Re: cr125?

So I take it the CR's not a good choise.

I've thought about just pulling the front off the 929 and going that route, but it's not exactly the easiest bike to learn slow stuff on. 10 up in the rear and first is really twichy as many of you probably know. Maybe I'll just trade or sell it while it's still worth something?? I'm just getting sick of waiting for a reasonably priced f4easy...

Re: cr125?

2 stroke bikes are the worst to learn on....the power band will throw you off if your not careful...
