R6 stunt setp advice.

so I have been smashin the 05 around, the current bike has a 15/50 sprocket setup, stuntwerks powerailz, and full tire pressure.... but my idle is stock, and I have done nothin to the brakes or suspension... what advice do you guys think about suspension setups, and idle? I can lift it from a dead stop no problem, but it is unsteady.... I still would like to rock the streets, and still hit some corners with confidence.... what advice do you have for meh?

Re: R6 stunt setp advice.

the stock brakes are fine.... i'm not doin' good stoppies or nothin yet. my rear suspension is set high, and stiff as well.... the idol, I might set up to 2k, and see what happens. with the 20+ psi for the streets, is it still a good cornering psi?
I'm not looking to scrape it... I didn't put a bar on it, just so I wouldn't be tempted. give me some pics of ya' bikes, so I can see how you have it set up... also the subframe reinforcements. thanx in advance.

Yup look like you ate ****
R6 sucks for stuntin better reinforce more then just the subframe, better do the hole frame and engine R6 is fragile as fu<k mine exploded when it hit the ground, youll be lucky if yous doesnt.

Re: R6 stunt setp advice.

Well in that case I wouldn't go any higher than +10 rear since you still ride the streets but you'll loose some top end. The suspension only one i've messed with is my front just to stiffin it up for endos I haven't touched the rear. I hear about guys stiffening up

Re: R6 stunt setp advice.

i got an 2004 r6
heres my set up
reinforced subframe,
powers 12 bar and crash cages
15/54 vortex sprocket combo 530 chain
idle at 4grand
15-20psi in the tire
i love my bike. its nice i'm use to it now i guess, the subframe is the only problem i have with it
REINFORCED THE SUBFRAME
i never did on mine at first
and it bork up by the ags tank to 2 spots
make sure you get that beefed up then you'll be fine

Do these things actually work? They seem useless without NRC covers to go with them... hardly worth the $150 IMO.

Re: R6 stunt setp advice.

Get a cage
a sprocket anywhere from +5 to +10
learn the brake.
If you want to you can get a bar and/or reinforce the subframe.
scrapeworks sells one that steel for $650
I don't think its worth it. Maybe I will after I ruin my subframe.
I kept the exhaust stock and have scraped it twice.

get some bar ends, and take off the ends that cage comes with. you put em on, and the thing is ganxtah! worth it im my oppinion, cause i still carve canyons.

anyway... who has problems with heating on the 05??? maybe i wouldnt have problems if i was getting em' as slow as i plan. mile long woolies dont do wonders for the cooling system

Re: R6 stunt setp advice.

bike will run even hotter doing slow wheelies not enough air moving thru the radiator unless ur not running fairings. Any tips on where to brace the subframe anyone have actual pics of where they reinforced that has worked out for them

my 05 gets hotter than my 06..... 30 degrees hotter....

man, i would really love to find a way to see around the front fairing, while doing sitdowns. but for some reason, it feels good not to see
