So you have control of rear brakin in a wheelie, and doing endo's you use the rear brake cause your usually sitting down? Ever heard of this being done? Do you know if it would work?

 

sounds about as dumb as hooking up your handbrake to your regular front brake lever

 

Go try it and make sure you put that cam on record

 

That's why we have handbrakes btw

 

Ok let me elaborate. your right hand brake now controls your rear caliper. Your right foot brake now controls your front calipers.

When you are in a whoolie you want back brake control, and your hands are usually on the handle bars. So you have control.

When you endo your usually sitting down, so you now have foot control for your endo. Now you can focus on bar input, and distance.

heres the problems I forsee doing this:
1. screwing up and bumping the lever while doing HC stuff.

2. maybe the rear brake resevoir needs a stronger master cylinder to handle the pressure.

3. will you have the control in an endo with your foot that your fingers would give you?

I am just thinking outloud (well kinda I am typing aloud) I haven't done this, but Ive heard of a couple Euro guys doin this to keep from having to go with another part on there bikes to work on , and get used to , and repair when she breaks. Please do not try this until it is discussed as even do-able, on the best forum in the world.......STUNTLIFE DOT COM!!!!

 

the front brake is where it is for a reason... usually if you need to use it, you dont need the gas anymore and you can stop using it... try using the gas and the front brake at the same time, in a wheelie....... just plain stupid

I understand what your saying, but I have no problems using the gas and the brake at the same time. Infact I do it all the time in circle burnouts and rollin smokies. I think it would be easier to do than using one finger on the clutch, one finger on the brake and the two other fingers on the bars holdin you on.

are you soo poor that you can't even afford a handbrake set up? If you really want to save money you can go buy a cheap used master for a HB and bypass the foot brake completely with a longer hose....it doesn't even have to be SS braided. Go look in the phone book for shops that sell hydraulic parts and hoses. Probably cost you no more than $150.

i built my handbrake set up for 50 bucks..... all i had to buy was a brake line

he got a friend to give him a mc, and a fitting, and he bought the line, exactly my situation, i only have 115 dollars into stunt parts on my bike.. i have fi clip ons, radial hb, mxd cage, gearing n round bar.

 

i had a friend give me my first one... then another friend totaled his minty new R6 so i grabbed the front brake master (cuase its radial)...

and im a machinist so i made my own adapter and had a friend weld it in
