Re: Who Watched Kane On Stunt Junkies?

I couldn't of said it any better. That is exactly what I was thinkin, all they seemed to care about was the mathematics of it all. Endo's and other stunts have nothing to do with math, its about having the ***** and the guts to do something that noone else does and be able to pull off. No one wants to hear about the mathematical equation that has to deal with wind speed and velocity. We wanna see something that has never been done before. They didn't celebrate the fact that the endo he performed was never done before and that it could be one of the most difficult things ever performed on a bike before. And your right they didn't show the rolling, All they cared about was the wheel coming off then they cut right to those did shi** goin insane becuase a tire came off the ground at those speed. Meaning that obviously the hosts didn't know jack sh** about what he was doin and what the sport is all about. The editing job completley tore apart the true meaning of what he was doing and the sport behind it. I've never liked that show to begin with, they take a persons dedication and dreams and chop it up for editing purposes to make it more audience friendly. Fu** that! Do what you do and go as far with it as you can, don't let anyone edit what your doing and make a completely different story out of it.

Oh by the way that is my very long random

Re: Who Watched Kane On Stunt Junkies?

Every time you go out and do what you do, do you think to yourself a mathematical equation that could solve for what you are doing. NO! The things that you do are calculated in your head and in your abilitys, not because a equation tells you that you can. [QUOTE=Nick Apex]

the thesis of the show seeing as it is on the DISCOVERY CHANNEL (whos purpose is to educate the ignorants of the world about the science behind the extreme sport athletes that they hire for the show.

endos have a lot more more science behind them than you would think. thats the point

So if you got the chance to be on the discovery channel to expand your sport that you love would you tell them to **** off and not air it because of their editing job. I mean im not a sell out but I think they got the job done fine. Not to mention the 10,000 and a free bike. Good job Kane.

Re: Who Watched Kane On Stunt Junkies?

I thought Kane did a good job and rep'd the sport well...I just wish the show didn't try to disect the trick so much. They also should have shown him rollin it...that would have really added to the effect!! Oh yeah, not to mention that Kane did this on a bike he's never ridden before.

The Discovery Channel could have done a much better job on setting up the event to leave little or no doubt that the stoppie was done that fast. Eli and Perry could have screamed out 170mph!!! or 192mph!!! and the viewer would not have known the difference. Half way down the strip you set up a stationary speed monitor. All the cameras are pointing down the strip with the rider accelerating, and the speed monitor all in the same view. The proof was far from believable the wayThe Discovery Channel televised it.. Thats is all.

Stock05.....? Im not even going to tell you how pathetic and childish your comment sounds... Oh wait I just did...

Re: Who Watched Kane On Stunt Junkies?

That editing was WACK, they show Kane in a tuck haulin ***, then clip to the front brake lever, then clip to rollin one goin 50-60 , I never saw the rear wheel leave the ground at anything faster than 70 or so in the entire clip. Why did they do that, I saw it on youtube though, did they cut that one up more, missed it on TV

That is some sick shizzle though Kane, bringin up the back wheel goin that fast is insane! :YEAH the editing just frustrated the **** out of me, kept teasin me waiting for the uncut world record run, and I never saw it

Thank God someone agrees with me. To add another little tid bit, Kane can you ask The Discovery Channel or Eli and Perry why they used the "EXACT SAME FRAMES" of you doin the 124 mph stoppie and the 137mph stoppie. They are Identical I examed the tape. Eli stating that on the practice day you couldnt get over the mid 90's attempting the stoppies over 100 tries? Then the next day you get 137? hmmm.... Like others Im waiting for the uncut world record run, and I never saw it either.... Please Explain. Im not hating, Im just a very scepticle person until I am shown proof.

I get my nerd on now and again when it comes to setup. And that was the whole point of any calc that went on with the show. Like what size master for this, what rake is good for that, can I shorten this without ****ing up that. If you look at a pro bike setup then you will see all the little tricks that go into it. You can either waste 4 hours trying **** over and over or do the math once. So no, not every time that would be stupid, but I've been known to sit in the garage and stare at that ****er until I get an idea about setup. What I should have said is I liked the math of it because I can relate to it, just like may of the disc viewers may like to.
