SCOTT_Chychul has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Cleaning rubber ?

So had to pop 5 tires this weekend at shows, and now the back of my bike is just fu(ked with burnt rubber, stuff is like glue and just smears all over the place,, how do you clean this **** off ? Anyone have a trick that works best ?

Preventative maintenance.

I put duct tape over my plate and tail before I blow tires. Then just peel that chit off.

Brake Cleaner will make it wipe right off or WD40 it has to sit a bit but it'll come off

goof off, it's available at the local home depot. Will take it right off no problems.

i used like throttle body cleaner and it ruined my taillight.. opps.. I mean this isnt your standard mess,, its almost an inch thick alot of it just peeled off but damn its alot of work..

coat your undertail with soap before hand then it won't stick. Once it's on there, head over to kelowna BC and find a crackwhore and give her $40 to "clean some rubber" :-)

sorry no real addvice to get it off but next time you can use tirewet, and it cant stik,,, also works on jeeps( in the wheel wells)

When I used to drag race.....we always put vaseline(sp?) on the fender wells.....

dont use pb blaster on plastic, itll eat right through that ****. good topic, i would like to know some good things to use too. I just used simple green and some elbow grease.

seperating agent works really good.... it comes in a areasol spray can. you can even spray it on platics and it wont fvck up the paint

ive used it to get rubber off and to take over spray from spray painting off.

i always used a paint stick to scrape it with either brake cleaner or wd40 both worked like a champ for me

There is actually a product made for cleaning off rubber that drag racers use. Most performance shops have it for under $10 and its just an aerosal that you spray on and then the rubber wipes off..

I heard spraying pam all over the undertail and $hit works like a champ.. never done it though?
