Holy sht dude! I bet that feels real good. Ya, never try to stand or stop yourself from sliding/rolling/tossing-like-a-rag-doll till you stop cuz you'll just make it worse. I rolled and all I got was a fractured wrist.

My buddy went down last tues. He clipped a semi/truck/tractor-trailer (he doesn't remember) and all he got was internal bleeding from his spleen! https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=166393
I dunno who's crash was worse, bottom line is, you are now elligable for the Rider/Stunters Who Can't Ride Their Damn Bikes Anymore And Are Pissed Off As All Hell club

Re: would stoppies cause this to happen?

That really sucks hope you heal up quick.

Everytime I wreck my dirtbike I start getting up before I am completely stopped, becase my goggles are so filled with dirt I can't see anything.
needless to say, I will immediately be throne to the ground again.

In my expirience if you don't even move till you come to a complete stop, you won't have any serious injury. just try to let loose and relax

chrome and powder coating have no effect on the durabillity of a wheel or any part for that matter, the fact that you are running to little air pressure does take effect. ive been building customs for many years had lots of parts chromed and powder coated. the way that wheel looks you probly set it down crooked im not hatin just given my opinion

Re: would stoppies cause this to happen?

Probably due to a number a factors.....chroming may weakin the rim. Put that together with the constant force of the rear tire hitting the ground during stoppies ....with the low tire pressure in the rear leaving not much to absorb the impact with the ground....coulda fractured the rim at some point........hard to say.......speedy recovery anyway and get back on the horse ASAP!

Ive always hated chome, because its a waste of money, makes the bike heavier and less reliable.

Feel sorry for ya bro, crashing sux! Just put some stock rims on and you should be good!

You dont know what your talkin about, do some homework and you'll find out that the chroming process does weaken aluminum.....

No, its the Icon Anthem jacket. I was looking at the elbow field armor the day before I wrecked and I wish I would have bought them. Next time they will be on. I love the jacket! Combine that with the Field Armor Vest and you feel bulletproof. It saved my *** for sure, otherwise I think my shoulder would have been gone.

The reason my road rash looks clean is the road was freshly paved and the doc scrubed the hell out of it! I'm telling you that almost brought tears to my eyes. Then to top it all off the state cop comes in and wants to talk to me! That didn't happen because they had to rush me in to get x-rays.

There was a write up in our local paper and they said me and the bike slid 200 feet. I know it was a long ways, but I didn't think it was that long.

Re: would stoppies cause this to happen?

Well I just got back earlier tonight after seeing my surgeon. Got my cast off my right leg and the stitches removed. The foot is still swelled a little, but getting better. Had to put a hard cast back on it for two more weeks and then I go to an air cast.

The left foot is a different story. He took the soft cast off the foot, but the foot is really bad. Swelled just as bad as the day after the wreck. The doc is concerned now. I have to get an MRI over the next week or so and then go back to see him in two weeks. I was shocked at how bad the foot is, I just hope I won't need surgery to fix it. I know it hurt like a ***** when he was looking at it. He put this snowboard looking boot on it that has an air pump on each side to keep it compressed. Hopefully the swelling starts going down soon. I'm just glad percoset works!

The road rash is getting better, the arm doesn't need to be wrapped anymore. The knee still does because it is right on the joint and breaks open a lot.

Then to top it all off a couple of my friends stopped over tonight on their bikes and they told me they just lost a friend of theirs who I didn't get to meet. The guy was 20 years old and tried to run from the cops. He missed a corner and ran through a field, hitting a tree head on. This **** makes me upset, there is no reason to be chased on a bike.
