954 Need stunt cage info...

I have a 954 & I am looking to get some stunt bars/cage. I want a cage that will protect the bike, but still allow some canyon fun. (Not knee draggin, but close...) I have seen some bikes with a "half" cage. No bars go under the bike, just on the sides... Anyone know what brands offer this? Any I can trust?

Thanks in advance for any info...

Brad

www.powersbikeworx.com

they are the orignal race railz. every thing else is just a cheap copy.2cent

check out the bracing on powers stuff then look at the other guys not even close. first time you crash the railz will bend up into your fairings.

Re: 954 Need stunt cage info...

I just crashed my f4i with an MXD 3pt cage @ about 25mph on a scrape and it didnt break a thing... as for the bracing, MXD has done a pretty robust job if I say so myself.

Re: 954 Need stunt cage info...

The pics on the MXD website are the OLD style. I'll have to post a pic of my buddies bike with the new style cage. Both products no doubt will save your ride, however since your in Socal I'd go with MXD because their shop is local in riverside and if you ever need help (installing, replacement sliders ect) or have a Q, the guys over there always helped me out

Re: 954 Need stunt cage info...

has anyone went down with their race railz? it obviously doesn't protect as well as a full cage but do the railz protect all the plastic (other than the tail)?

Good question? I have another... Anyone with a 954 that installed MXD or Powers rails, did you have to cut plastics and/or weld? (Looking for a bolt-on if possible)

Re: 954 Need stunt cage info...

One more time... Anyone know if those race rails will save the upper fairings on the 954?

(I suppose the side fairings will be safe?)

Re: 954 Need stunt cage info...

I am tempted to go with MXD cause their local, but the powers have a great reputation. (From what I can gather)

Will the race rails save your upper/front fairings?
