Hey guys,
Duker with VMC here.....just bought a F2 beat bike and i need to know how long to make the scrape bar.......i'm gonna mount it to the stock 2 holes in the back of the subframe




any ideas how long it should be?? I have it about 24 inches right now from the first mounting hole......looks a little long to me..... any suggestions?

 

To make it a true 12 bar... take a 2x4 about 4 foot long and hold it against the back tire so you can see how far out the bar needs to be. Hook it up from there or bring it out more if you want it to hit earlier.

just picked the ****er up and set it back....WAY to ****ing long.......got it now so it will ALMOST balance on it's own..... i can always trim some off if i need to thanks for the input

 

build it in two sections: the section that bolts to the bike, and the section that bolts to the scraper. drill sets of two holes on each side so it's adjustable. Then you can set it closer or farther out, depending on how comfortable you get with 12's.
