Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....
as far as stuntin' goes... I do believe their will be a moment where it does explode. Even if it isn't for a long period of time, it will have it's day in the spotlight some time... But as far as the X-Games are concerned.. F**k em'.. I don't think we have to go to the x-games, and I don't want it to go to the x-games...
I mean picture this... A mountain dew commercial on ESPN 2 with Britton or someone similiar drinking a dew while doing an endo or something promoting X-Games 2015.... I just don't see it and don't want the sport to turn into a fad!! I honestly don't think it would just because of bikes we use, you kinda have to be older to be able to ride in the first place.. (unless you are ****ing Colton) but despite having to use big bikes, I am seeing a whole lot more kids riding XR's and mini bikes... and guess what... they are trying to stunt.. from wheelies, stoppies, christs, skitching etc.. it is becoming similiar to skateboarding....If i knew about stunting and was able to buy one of these replica Sportbikes when I was young!! DAMN SON imagine how skilled a lot more riders would be today!! We are seeing the start to a lot of GREAT stunters if they keep it up...
When i was between 8 and like 15 years old, if I was skating around, I would get these looks from adults (much like the ones you get when you pass em posted up on the rear wheel on the freeway:YEAH ) they just couldn't stand it and thought it was the devil or something....But ever since more people got known in skateboarding and they started to show them on TV, with all their ****ing safety gear and ****, and then it became sponsored by those same ****ing, *******, parents' companies!! (Because they saw an avenue to make money) NOW look at it.. they are building skateparks everywhere and PARENTS are actually buying their ****ing kids skateboards and taking them to the park!!! WTF!!!! who would have predicted that ****!!! a sport that only 10 years before was affiliated with Weed, drugs, beer, and an overall bad rep!!!! is now what ****ing rich people are buying for their little sh*t rich kids!!!
So all I am saying is no one could have predicted that sh*t so none of us can really predict where the sport of stunting will go in 10 years, but if we look at the past it could potentially blow the **** up!!! But I think the one MAIN thing that is holding back major sponsors.. Is the street riding.. They do NOT want to be affiliated one bit with us!! Because on the streets eveyone hates us!! They see wheelies and give us the finger, or yell "I hope you die" (actually happened twice).. But they don't want their name next to the guys who creat chaos on the street...
So if we could show them safety(gear, drag strip, lots etc..) and kinda get away from the street you will have better luck with major corperations...
look at Britton.. where did his street riding footage go for his new vids??? He stepped away from that and got ICON...and SUZUKI, now hes a co-host on the speed channel... so... thats my

Ahem...
I dunno about yall... but I think it will go X games...
In fact.. -I- have made break throughs in just the last few weeks with finally contacting and scheduling a meeting.. with.. The Guy.
but I think there are several reasons we have not broken there yet..
1)we are not (as an industry) matured enough, nor ready to utilize the marketing value of that level of mass marketed television. (not that every xgames comp makes TV, IE: there is hope) its only been in the last one year or so that even motorcycle industry companies are actually starting to take a positive active notice of several stunt riders (with expection of say Britton, who reached that a few years ago)
2)There are maybe only 15 people in this sport world wide who dont have their heads up their asses and are actually interested in pursuing it to that level in a proffessional manner
3)No ones really sat down and met with the right people and tried..
This train is still powering up IMO, people like colton are going to reap the benefits soon...
I hope.
we may not be 60ft in the air, but we are still very dangerous, entertaining, difficult, and growing...
Idle this!

Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....
i see the big promoters/events finding too many negative aspects about stunting to really take it under their wing any time soon.
mostly due to the fact that they only have assumptions, not actual knowledge of the sport. once they are enlightened a bit they may come around.
who knows though. keep up the talks kane, i'd love to see stunting get the recognition it deserves.

Preach on. I agree. This sport will be huge, but probably on a different level than X-Games for quite some time. I have no doubt it will continue to grow....But is just not ready right now for x games without some serious planning and strategy by a group of select riders with a plan for global domination. I'd hate to see our debut a chaotic choke-fest with clapped out bikes and "F" the world attitudes. It would be embarassing.
Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....
I seen a vid with a guy standing on the tank, He did a backflip, and then landed on the seat, even though the bike didnt do a backflip, was still cool as hell!
Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....
Sh*t, if people want to see people crash on their bikes, they should come watch me practice. ...and if I could make money at crashin then I;d be a freakin millionare...
My opinion is that stuntin will be in the Xgames eventually. I do think the sport will blow up in a few more years.
