12 bar?????

I got a 12 bar from powers. And it came wit 4 sandwich plates brackets to mount it. Can someone tell me if the plates really work, or should i drill through the sub frame!!!

I would install it per instructions, drilling holes in your subframe will only weaken it, if you are concerned that it isnt mounted good enough, you can use a 2" exhaust clamp for a car to hold tighter to the subframe...

Re: 12 bar?????

don't drill it...plus it's easier and cheaper to readjust the bar then replace the subframe .

Don't drill! I have never used the plates but exhaust clamps work real good!

Re: 12 bar?????

Like everyone else said... Don't Drill. Sometimes those plates push on your tail section when you put it on, so i went to Home Depot and got 6, 1inch u-bolts and spaced them out equally on each side. Never had a problem, and I've slammed the thing numerous times. Regardless the plates work fine, you can do it either way, just don't drill.

Peace,
Mr.D
