This sucks...
This sucks...
I just bought a 2002 Gixxer 600 a week or so ago after a 3 year layoff from riding. Last time I had a bike, I looped my 1998 Gixxer 750 and got really bad rash on my right arm and totalled my bike. Regular riding has come back real quick, and Ive started doing stoppies again. But just regular old 2nd gear clutch wheelies scare the f out of me. I remember when it was so effortless and I really didnt even have to think about it . Now, I go to clutch and instantly let of the gas. Or if I go to bounce it Im all discombobulated and drop it really quick. How do you get rid of that fear again? Its like I have to start from square one again.
Re: This sucks...
man i had the same problem... the way i actually got out of the fear was i went out ridin wit a bud of mine. he was showin off doin wheelies, so i said fack it an i started doin them... jus keep goin at it an u'll get the hang of it again.
good luck man.
good luck man.

Ya, I have yet to ride for extended amount of time with anyone, been on my own. I need to ride with some stunters probably. Problem is, alot of my friends switched to Harleys.

discombobulation is a muddafugga...
you gotta start from square one again but it all comes back real quick. a little fear is healthy, it keeps you sane, just don't let it keep you from doing what you love. do you have rear brake skills? maybe you should try working on slow first gear stuff. if your fear is looping, having rear brake on lock will help.

Re: This sucks...
I wrecked my 05 R6 last summer. When i bought my 06 Gixxer this year i was kind of weary to wheelie too.I even thoght my bike wouldnt come up in 2nd gear but all i had to do was get some nuts back and give it some gas.Its better to start over from scratch so then you can figure out what you did wrong the last time.Good luck!
