He's one of the best friends you could ever ask for... Always there to have your back or when you need advice, he's your man and now the guy I look to as a big brother is going through the hardest time of all right now...
We are all going to go to the hospital in a week or so -- I would like to be able to print out a long list of get wells and what not so if you can post up some I would sincerely appreciate it.
As for updates, Either I or one of his other friends will post up as we get them to let you know how he is doing!

Richard, glad you made it out and are doing well. It seems that with everything that happened, you still have a positive attitude, and that is awesome!! I know that you have a long road ahead of you for recovery, but from the couple times that I have talked to you, it seems like you are up to it!
Sucks about the leg, but thank god for handbrakes!! You will be up and stuntin' in no time!:YEAH

By the way, my best friend lost his left leg from below the knee when we first started riding... he has been skateboarding since 86' with me... and he still hasn't quit. He still does kickflips, heelflips, skates miniramp and ledges.

Hey john, its good to hear from you. Thanks man every thing you said means alot to me and I can't wait to be able to ride with you and everyone again.
You're right about the cars not stopping for downed riders. I was in two wrecks on the street before right in front of cars and noone stopped and the people that saw it looked away but luckly I wasn't hurt in either accident. There was a male nurse in a car behind us in this last accident that saw the whole thing go down and stop immediatly. He stopped the bleeding from a severed artery in my leg. If it wasn't for him I would have bleed out and been dead in about 4min. The trooper told my parents that about 25 people ended up helping me on the side of the road that day.
ya bro I'll give you a call sometime or if I need anything

Hey Rich, keep you head up man, I had a family member that went down bad and broke both arms and lost a leg right below the knee also. He has a prostetic now but it did not slow him down one bit, you will not believe how well they make prostetics now he even still rides wheelies here and there, other than a small lip you would not know he has one, I havent spoke to him in while but I will get his contact info so you can talk to him if you need o hear from some one who ha gone through what you have and has came out fine.
