****ed up a coaster...

well my tail catched a bump in the road with a coal pit (don't know if this is the right term) during a slow coaster (10-15 mph maybe) and twisted the bike to the right and it hit hard on that side. Some oil got out but clutch cover is ok didn't break, it leaked from in front of it (hope nothing broke, didn't see it did). Broke brake lever, twisted clipon a little bit, broke right peg carrier, dented the muffler a bit...the tail finally cracked, till now it was clean, if you don't count scrapes...lol...the interesting part is fairings didn't even crack, just slightly rashed...need to get a cage asap I know The guy that should make one form me was too busy to do it...

Re: ****ed up a coaster...

If you watch the LEgion video the guy with the Gixxer 1000 rides without one doin like 100mph higchairs. Far more brave than I am. I think in the end he actually dumps his bike and you can see the look of horror on his face.

Re: ****ed up a coaster...

seems like the us is the only country comercially producing cages? shiping's gotta be expensive to send a cage overseas but it's worth it in a crash. a good cage would have saved your rear set and your motor...at least it sounds like you didn't get hurt, here's to a speedy rebuild

seems like it...and shiping is expensive, plus you have to pay taxes on it...The thing is the guy that should make me one works with metal constructions and he's great at what he does, but he just didn't have time to make it...I'm ok, had gear, only thing that hurts is my 4ss, lol. Thanks for fast rebuilt wishes...

Thanks for the history lesson, but being that it's 2006 and they have been around for awhile.. ha ha j/k It's not very smart not to have one...... and if you can't afford $250 for a cage, u can't afford to stunt.....2 cent

Those long downtimes must ****.

you will go down one day. might as well have a cage. if you cant afford a 250 cage then you will never fix the 4,000 mistake you will make some day when you quit doing power whoolies

Re: ****ed up a coaster...

oil leaking out can be from the tip over sensor shutting it off while its upside down and oil pumping into the airbox

Yea people stunted with out cages, but most of them could afford another bike. Doubt 99% of the people here could just up and by a new one.
