Wheelie touch down question

My aunt had a motorcycle crash infront of her house the other night. Dude wheelied at 65 and came down, and the cops theorized that his front wheel wasnt moving as fast as his rear wheel was and made him crash when he came down. I didnt think that it worked that way so Im asking you guys. Does that really work like that, I have never done a high speed touch down on a bike before so I dont know.
Thanks, Matt

Re: Wheelie touch down question

Thats retarted, Even if the front wheel wasnt moving at all it woulnt make you crash. It might skitch when it first hits down but it will start spinning before you lose control.

I love it when cops have "theory's" .....The Cause of that was Inexpierence,
Front wheel Crooked coming down,Setting it down to fast, wierd spot in the road....etc,etc....there are numerous reason's why he could have gone down..
I have set down wheelies at 70 and the Frnt wheel wasn't even rolling at all
All I hear is a chirp and maybe a slight wobble (I havn't perfected the set down quite yet)......

The random capitalization, poor punctuation, incorrect apostrophes, and horrible spelling in this post have caused my head to implode.

You hear a chirp? All I hear is the motor as I throttle back into it to set it down lighter. Stock pipe maybe?

Re: Wheelie touch down question

the other thing is that its a small town. motorcycle stunting has not touched this part of the us like at all. its just me here with a wheelie and what not. If I stoppied up to a cop he would prolly ask what it was called and how I did that. I live in Canandaigua which is big for this region, and this happened in my home town of naples. So they are even farther out of the loop

I love it when you put it down at like 100 + and smoke just pours off the tire for a second....I think that looks cool as hell
