I read and read, but cant decide on what bars to go with. Nobody runs them up here so I dont know what bend would be comfortable.

Tag/Renthals/Protapers? What bend. 1 1/8" right? Somone chose for me lol. Im broke too, so whatever is cheap.

 

i run 11/8 renthal fatbars on tag risers but i would just invest in a damn full throttle or LSL one same diff. just about the same cash for the hassle of puttin it on and its all done right not to mention you'll bend some serious amounts of bars. or 0 degree clip ons from freestyle those are sick

 

I have the FI clip ons turned out to almost straight, I love it. lower than DB bars but similar feel.

I run stock dirtbike bars, on my dirtbike. Why not just turn your stock clip-ons out?

 

I dont like dirt bars personally but I helped my friend build this bike over the winter and hes got a pretty pimp setup, if I was gonna do it thats how Id do it Full Throttle billet top and bottom tripples with Renthal low rise fat bars........

 

what are some good bars for an f4i? im thinkin of usin teh fat bar renthal.. that a good choice?

 

do dirt bike bars give you more control ?

 

The stock ones. Pop the circlips off and pull the bars up like 1/4" and rotate them forward until they are almost straight, then tighten them back down. This improves your riding position as well as increases the survivability of your controls in the event that your bars have an untimely meeting with the pavement, they will just rotate out of the way, instead of breaking.

 

you guys like renthall too much pro tapers are dope out of all the mx racing i did i never wrecked a single bar. renthals on the other hand were a diffrent story. but on my bike i have vortex race clipons you can adjust them to any angle you want and they have replaceable bars i like them and it's a cheap easy fix

 

I have Pro-Taper Contours in a Woods-Lo bend.....it was the best combo of minimum height(2.8"), minimum width(30.5"), and minimum pullback(?) that I could find in an 1-1/8" bar. 7/8" bars you can get shorter skinnier bars though. I think there is a peewee bend in a 7/8" from Applied, but not sure how much room you will have for "extra" controls, like your handbrake!

most bars are about 32" wide and real close to 3" tall

Also, I got me one of those pimp FullThrottleInc triple clamps too. Looks good and has been through a few nasty drops and a nice endo flip......in which the bars DID NOT bend....but did grind the end of the throttle tube down and grind a 1/4" of the bar of at an angle.

 

i agree with ya bro... renthal bars **** ***... i love pro tapers on the dirtbike... never tried it on street yet.. but i want too.

 

i use the moose racing bars(the alloy ones)...the ones meant for woods racing...meaning the bars are shorter...i had these on my other bike and now i have them on my new bike..had them for over a yeah....theyve seen many falls....never bent and half the price of the other bars mentioned....would never buy anything else...
