it doesnt make it ok to throw your bike, it just means you can push yourself harder with the comfort in the back of your head that if you DO happen to loop it its not gonna **** your bike up as bad. i learned without a cage, and i never once dropped my bike, but my learning curve was really slow. with a cage, i progressed a lot faster
