99-02 R6's

Ive been seeing alot of threads lately asking if these R6's are any good for stunting... asking about the subframe and the overall bike. I know of course the bike is gonna be harder to learn on since its carbed...
but can you guys post some of the things someone will look forward to when trying to stunt on this bike (weak subframe, oil in airbox, etc.)

I've been on an 01 R6 now for a couple years...added a jet kit and vortex sprocket (Venom didn't make one for my bike) No real problems with it, and I can find cheap parts if stuff breaks.

subframes are fine its the 03-06 subframes that are weak and yes u will get air in the airbox only if u leave it on the bar too long. Other than that id get aftermarket clipons because the stock ones snap easy.

Re: 99-02 R6's

tore 2nd out learning to do powpow power wheelies on the only new vehicle ive owned in my life 02 r6 took me 3 months. in the first year the battery also leaked and ruined everything underneath twice..then the local dealership didnt put the chain back on right and when it broke it cracked my case...then i looped it on the interstate it slid almost 500 ft on the left side, i fixed it w like $300... they stunt on the idle pretty well but like someone said you get fcked everytime the bike 12's or lays on its side for more than 5 secs
:YEAH theyre def fun bikes

I know I sound like a noob... but... what are the clipons, I see it everywhere in this forum, but nobody really explains it

Re: 99-02 R6's

yeah air in the air box, it has been explained enough, i would just take some tape and cover the ram air covers and that should fix that problem.....
