Re: dual caliper bracket set up (pimp)

the thing about f4i's or any honda and yamaha is that the caliper slides a rod unlike the gsxr and 636(636 slides on a rod too but is bolted to a different bracket first) He can make them for an f4i but i think the cost might go up a little because he will he to do somemore welding and cutting. i'll ask him tonight and let everyone know. I know f4i's are really big in stuntin so i'll make sure he gets er done.:YEAH

Re: dual caliper bracket set up (pimp)

We've been building those for about 2 years, just not massed produced. They work all right but a better option is welding and tapping a fitting on to the rear master and running a line to a handbrake.

2 calipers , 2 sets of lines ....... it works but there's better easier ways.

Re: dual caliper bracket set up (pimp)

We here in Az perf dual calpier for a couple of reasons one you dont have to change pads as much and if one system brakes or fails you can use the other. personal preference and how much money you want to spend. keep up the good work. :YEAH

I have always ran a dual caliper set up. I think it's the best.

Re: dual caliper bracket set up (pimp)

Becareful on what calipers you use cause i tried gxsr calipers (because they are dual piston calipers) and they hit the inside of the wheel and wouldn't sit down on the rotor all the way. I think you can use 636 calipers on everything but gsxr but if everyone uses 636 calipers kawi capiler stocks are going to go threw the roof.

Re: dual caliper bracket set up (pimp)

I had to see for myself and you know what it looks like a match made in heaven. Clearance looks good on the back side also it should be easier to fabricate the bracket 2 pistons might be better than one and last brake pads are longer on front caliper providing a little more contact area.

Front right caliper works off F4i, 954 or 929

Re: dual caliper bracket set up (pimp)

The picts and info is based off my findings for a F4i Can it be done? This set-up is for a dual rear brake caliper
