Hey everyone just trying too see if anyone heard how Thew's record stoppie attempt went

did he set the new wolrd record on april 11 or what and how long was it
if i had the money i would of been there to support the local stuntrider

 

Sad to say, but there is no new offical record. I can't even count the number of attempts Thew made but just couldn't quite hit the mark. He was having some good runs in the morning geting some consistency rolling 600ft or more. After lunch he was making some more runs, and I'm not wure if it was because the wind picked up or if it was becaus of the track, but he kept drifting to the right and you could tell that was getting him a little frustrated. He kept going through the afternoon and started getting them around 600 again and so we all though he was getting close to breaking it. He made a lot more runs at it, but about 3:30 started packing it up and calling it a day.


I don't know if they were going to let him try it again today (Saturday) or not. I think they were having drag races and he was going to put on sme kind of stunt show somewhere in between races.

 

That sucks because we all know that Thew definately has the potential to shatter that record. I'm sure he'll break it eventually.

 

Thew did it today......... I just got off the phone with him... he went 749 feet!!!!!

 

what was the old record 748?? Are you serious?

 

I think the old record was 638ft or around there. What the deal with this dude claiming that Thew didn't do it?

 

Just check the dates. Thew didn't get the record on Friday the 11th when I was there, thats where my post came from. He got the record on Saturday, the day after my post saying he hadn't goten it. My post even claimed that he would probably be trying again the next day (Sat).

Glad to hear he accomplished the feat. Thew and the other guys seemed really nice. They were really cool and let me hang around with them all day Friday. Way to go Thew!!

 

Oh, I got ya. Anyway, props to Thew.

 

congrats to thew and the rest of the team for pushing him. Thats pretty damn far and to do it under the pressure of all the cameras and the overall situation. Good job thew.
