Re: Its Coming Along!!!
FI includes measurements, but that's because they know exactly how long the mounting for their bars are. if your's was the same...you could use the same #'s but it's probably not going to happen. exhaust clamps work sometimes for holding bars on if you can get them really tight.

WOW that sucks! i stunted a bike i owed on for a few years! I'm sooo much happier now that i own both my bikes outright!!! Just try to keep it as nice as you can, and when you break something, fix it!!! once you let a few things slide the bike will go downhill fast!
you have a truck? best thing you could do is save up and buy a beater salvage parkinglot stunter to practice on!!! then eventually get it fixed up and get the reconstructed title for it so it can hit the road!

no you didn't cut too much for that bar, your cut job for that bar looks really good, im saying that the way the bar was built requires too much cutting.

oh yeah, for free that's pimp! And yeah now you have a bar! I'm just saying that i like a roundbar where you hardly have to cut anything at all, make it look stock. Most people don't know i HAVE a bar until they are right next to my bike.

ill have to try to get a pic up, its a 636 and i only cut a 3 inch by 1 inch slot in each side of the tail down close to the undertail and about 4 inches from the end of the tail, the bar comes out there and wraps around. the bar hides the hole pretty well! i could do even better next time. the key thing with my roundbar is that the WHOLE rear of the tail and the taillight are perfectly STOCK!!!
