ok so im going to be picking up a 2002 f4i this weekend or early next week. my question is, its been sitting up for a while bc he wrecked it, so what do i need to do b4 i crank it up? he said all it needs is plastics and that he had ridin it after he wrecked it but now he lost the key so it hasnt been cranked up in forever. also, is there any way to get another key or would i just have to get a new ignition? and without a key would i be able to take it to a shop and let them check the engine out? thanks

 

Just check all the fluids before you start it..Wouldnt hurt to give it a tune up before you start riding it..And you can pull the ignition out and take it to a locksmith to have a key made for like $10-$20

 

also, ive asked this b4 but what would this bike be worth? he says it runs and only thing it needs is plastics and it only has 2k miles on it. i thnk im gettin a steal on it im just worried that ima fix the plastics and what not and then the engine be blown or sumthin
