Will the F.I. Withstand a newb dump?

My problem is when it comes to strict lot stuff I ****. Will the F.I. hold up to some nasty drops or when it comes time should I go with a full cage (I.e MXD, Powers, Sick Innovations, etc...) until im better? Its another cage thread yes, and its redundant an old, but im still curious. I like em all but I dont want to end up snapping those F.I. sliders off on a nasty circle attempt. (if possible)

there is 0 you can do about the sliders ripping off. there all 6 in one half dozen in the other. if you know what i mean. they all fail, they all **** in there own little ways. just depends how it hits were it hits and what type of bike you have.

no sorry it's 100% garbage and the first time your drop the bike it'll explode cuase they wire C4 and detantors into the sliders. it' will also instantly cause a head knock and both your front and rear brake lines will develope holes in them. then your frame will crack and your subframe will snap like a cheap toothpick. and to top it off, all your bumper fluid will leak out!!!

JMO if your just learning do not get an FI. They'll take a few good hits but only a few before the loop becomes useless and you have to buy another one.

On just about every bike except an r6, the new style cages are very strong. VERY strong. Ive had some good hits on my f4i, nothing happened. On the r6, it can sometimes break the motor mounts. I know some one who re-enforced the mounts, and runs the FI, thing is SOLID

just remember man, you are going to brake things, just cuz you have a cage doesnt make your bike invincible. take it slow, dont rush yourself tryin to learn things and you wont have to worry about braking much. i learned on an f2 with no cage, and the most i broke was a clipon.

Re: Will the F.I. Withstand a newb dump?

this guy i met not too long ago had a 905 cage, that got beat, and it was bent, so he had to cut the cage in order to get to the screws. which looked like a pain in the ***.

the FI although it could bend, i dont see the problem of having to cut it to take it off. since the bolts are outthere.

and if it gets out of shape. well, that means the cage too a good damn hit and not your motor. so its worth it.

when im ready, im arming my 1000rr with an FI cage to attempt my squiddish wheelies :YEAH
