I am thinking about trading my 04 Gixxer600(6k miles) for an 02 f4i(13k miles). I am finding out that my gixx isnt the best stunt bike. Does this sound like a step in the right direction?

I also might be able to get my hands on an 00 f4i(8k miles). Whats the difference in the 00 and 02?

00 was the f4, it's carbed.

 

Ok i think the 00 is out of the question then. I thought that the "i" stood for injected?

 

the gixxer will take a baeting you just need a stuntex pickup and brace the subframe...

 

defintly dont trade if its in good condition, you could sell it and get a f4i with alot less miles

but if its beat up and thats all you can get then go for it you can always replace the motor

It does.. they didn't make an 00 f4i. Maybe it's an f4i with an 00 f4 frame.

 

f4i/f4 are the best stunt bikes because they have been the same bike basically for 7 years now.. all the parts are interchangable and tough as nails.. your gsxr wont have as many parts availible for it and you need to have an oil pickup.. You just cant kill a honda.. bottom line.

dude get the f4i i had a o4 gixer dam good stunt bike but i blew the motor in 3 months

Honda's take a beatin...but I think I would sell the GSXR before I'd trade it unless your getting some money as well for the exchange.

00 to 02 is a totally different bike, the only thing that's the same is the frame. The F4I has a nicer tailsection with 2 tier seperate seats, double headlights and a hell of allot faster...

 

i say go with the f4i cause the gixxer has a weak subframe....like they said just get the oil pick up and f4i can take a good beating kinda sounds like you are losing money on that trade tho

 

Im gonna come out of the deal with a thousand dollars in my pocket. My gixxer has been stunted. It has been on the bar. The f4i hasent been stunted at all.

 

Do it and good luck...an extra 1K will buy a replacement motor if you ever need it...

 

How long do the f4i motors last? Im not gonna be 12'n it or doin a lot of rev limiter stuff.

I got an 04 GSXR 600...sweet *** ride...i stunt damn well on the gsxr, you gotta know how to ride..i crash like 4 times on that bike from doing bunch of stunts and its still in a great shape. I reck my F4i it comes out totalled...mmm it dont matter what kind bike you should get..its all about how good you ride it and how smooth you rockin with your throtle..if you dont know how to ride it smooth then take the starboyz wheelie school...i aint talkin ****..its all about your attuide and patience and practice and confience...just ride thats all i gotta say

 

I decided to go for it. Picked up the f4i today. Here are some pics of the f4i and the gixxer i got rid of. Anybody know what the posts sticking out of the tail section are for?
