New way to learn??
New way to learn??
I know about the search button but this is not a how to wheelie question but which way to learn, brief story had a 03 750 GSXR and could do 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies (no shifting) using clutch but ending up after almost 8 months of steady wheelies looping it @ 90 mph, so now i want to be slower and safer (no more foot-pegs through the leg) so whats the best method of wheelies, not how, but method, the bike now is a 03 954RR with one down in the front. Should i just get a cage and do first gear cluch wheelies are do the second gear thing again and learn how to use the rear brake?? I dont mind dropping the bikes but i want to keep it to and not have it toatled out. Maybe i should just toss up money and go to a stunt school, since last time i taught myself and that got me far but not far enough, plus i want to learn to ride a wheelie at like 40-60 mph steady and not start it at 45mph and bring it down at 100mph
Re: New way to learn??
Theres more to it than that yes do that but also try this, I would say try 2nd gear it is less of a touchy gear in the sense of throttle response and just get use to those don't try to rock them back to far but just get use to the engine breaking and your bike in general, then once you think your throttle contol in decent go ahead and try it in first gear, and learn to do little pops and then catch it with the brake do that until you think you can do bigger and bigger pops and then take it from there and rememeber don't rush yourself and its not a dirt bike don't chop the throttle if the bike wants to come down don't try to brin it back up cause thats when you loop it cause in every RPM you torgue and power changes so you try to do that at the bottom of a power band by the time the bike starts to come back up its at the top of the pwer band and up and over you go. GOOD LUCK

Practice-practice-practice. There Is No Short Cut! Learn Brake, And Throttle Control. Btw No Matter How Slow You Ride, You Can Get Bit. Doin A Staggered Standup At About 15mph Looped It And Got A Broken Leg (3 Places), Hairline Fracture In R Hip, R Shoulder Wasted (still In Phys Therapy, And Prob Surgery Next Week.) Still Rockin The Quad, Still Not Lovin Police.

Get a fiddy learn break on it then try on the big bike, any other way you will probably **** up your 954. Break control is hard to learn without dropping that ****. Trust me, I learned BC on my 636 and it dont look purty any more
