Mid-West Comp.???

OK....heard huge amounts of *****ing about stuntwars....politics, surface, area, theft, organizers,......

I didn't get to make it to stuntwars due to class, money. and a 22 hour drive.....can't imagine what it would be for people from Cali.???....Wisconsin??? ...Texas???

Just curious to see how many people would be interested in having a comp where the drive time to trailer your bikes would be about equal for west coast, east coast, north, and south???
--What time of year??? (prolly not winter here!!!)
--What type of area???
--What surface???
--Who for judges???
--What days/times???
--Everything during the day or also at night???
--What events??? (no-hander, endo, last man standing, indiv. freestyle,.....)

You've got KC and STL here in missouri that both have pretty good stunt followings, rider-wise, and fan-wise......so would one of those cities work??? How bout Des Moines??? Kansas City, Kansas???

In KC, MO.... we have Kemper Arena that has a large lot and Kemper has been a venue for monster trucks, FMX,.... so they might be more likely to house a competition indoor or outdoor.......theres also Arrowhead and Royals Stadium that have a HUGE combined lot that could possibly be used for practice, qualifying, and competition. in different areas if needed. Even a designated area for endo practice, so people don't get slap upside their heads.

I've heard from local "all-stars" about how there should be a comp. in this area.......but haven't heard from anyone else. Just looking for input, but if there are enough I'm sure one of the "OG's around here could help organize somin!!!:YEAH

Re: Mid-West Comp.???

heres my .02 on the idea. I think there should be events that will keep the interest of the crowd and be challenging for the riders..

-Indiv. Freestyle
-Team Event
-Longest Stoppie (Limited approach)
-Longest Stoppie (Unlim. approach)
-Sickest Trick
-Last man standing burnouts (crowd loves it)
-Fastest no hander (with a radar to judge)

I would have to go with Texas for a practical location.

Event should be organized by EVENT ORGANIZERS. People that do that **** for a living.

Judges- you will never please everybody, that is a tough one.

Each year of SW is a learning experience and I think it is helping the sport in a positive way even with all the flaws.

speed and danger have always seemed to be what the fans love......so in my mind a drag strip wouldn't be the greatest surface for fast circles or something like that.....also to me, events that last on and on would get boring for spectators

Organization by event organizers WOULD be ideal...but as I've heard about stuntwars ticket prices and everything else, would everyone pay more for entrance fees and concessions to have things organized by an event organizer??? Afterall they are there to make money, not push the sport forward.

I DO think Texas COULD be a good place to have a large comp....reliable weather, somewhat central location in the US,.....

it'd be interesting to see if someone tried bumping thier idle up to like 10K and put the bike in sixth and try it, or to come in at the top of 4th or 5th and try it doing a no handed coaster

may not wad up your bike.....but who said you wouldn't look like an asshat???

talked to doodles for a sec. .......I don't think annyone would show up unless some big names were repping it and making it very public they were going......like the Streetfighterz, Dan Jackson, Starboyz,........would take some major backing to get everyone here and actually make it happen......and then you gotta know where the money is gonna come from for prize money and to pay for set up and everything ahead of time...

...i still think it would be worth it though

Yeah, 4-5 quarts of oil tends to do that.
