8 foot 2x8
8" by 8" by 3/16 " steel plate sticking 3 inches off the end of the plank.
A pair of 3/8" bolts with some fat washers to hold it on
Total cost should be under $25

They give you 2 so you can walk up 1 and drive the bike up the other.
I got the 8' long, 16" wide. Works great with my FX4 F-150 and the curve keeps the cage from bottoming out. Pain in the *** is putting the ramps together. It takes like 2 hours a ramp.

i have an aluminum tri-fold ramp, i got it at northern hydraulic stores. it was 100 but it is strong and light and it folds from the width of your truck bed to the size of a single ramp

8 ft seems kinda long to build one out of...the truck is a dodge dakota so it wouldnt fit in the bed I don't think.
Those curved ones look sweet but they cost over a hundred bucks...hrm.
