I have never been to stuntwars so any opinions here-after are not mine. It seems as though, with all the talk about the upcoming SW, people don't have a lot of good things to say about it:
The track sucks
The facilities are terrible
No convenient practice area
Nothing to do after hours (besides get rowdy)
Not much prize $$
Everyone thinks tandem is F.I.B.
and the list goes on...

These are just some of the things I've heard here, as well as read and heard from people that have been there.
What I'd like to know is, if everything about SW seems to be a hassle, why do people bother? TELL ME WHY YOU LOVE IT!

 

Your right.
It probably sucks,besides woods,stephens,and darius up until now.
But for '06...pfeiffer,potzner and farias are about to increase all that.

 

um u get to meet people who share the same passion as u for a week, and get ****ed up....

so put those things together, and it gets to be a little blown outa proportion.
In my opinion SW is what it is, the biggest event in the US, in a not so good spot, on a not so perfect track. Do i think colbert would love to get a bigger area in a better spot sure but it's hard to convince people to take the chance. i thought about what you posted up before but hey i'm goin to florida in the begining of feb. hell it's better than NY.

 

It's the only time of the year where everybody in the sport really gets together, the riding the week before is the best, all day everyday for a week. If you can make it thru till the weekend without getting hurt your doing good! It's warmer than where most people are coming from which is nice. Lots of fresh wigs everyday to split.

 

it's all about the people. In the stands, on the track, on the streets...etc. Once you experience it, you'll never ask the question, and there will never be a wrong answer.

 

agree with everything said.. this is gonna be my first time there but ive been stuck in cold *** Pa for 10yrs so its my first vacation... tons of getting drunk... and i havent met a single local stunter up here but during SW ill meet hundreds ina few days

hangin with peeps you normally dont get to see ... warm weather ... riding ... getting wasted ... getting your wig split ... this year getting to see some european og's ride in person ...

 

Getting out and doing it. Peps and all that. This is what it is about. Riding.

 

adam says they are making lots of improvements to the track, facilities etc...

but yeah.. its all about the comradery

its only a couple of hours to where all the real riding and fun **** takes place, South Florida!

so who is in for a big a ss street session in o-town

 

sorry everyone we ride there every wednesday and it has yet to change at all from last year with the exception or a few signs and new speakers lol


but f*ck it will still be a good week !

 

it's stuntwars........ one of the sickest events each year.....

ive went the past 3 years...... and everyone one that I have been to is worth the trip!!

The best part is hanging with friends that I hadn't seen since the year before..... and of course getting my wig split by fellow riders.....

Darius, you driving over this year... when you leaving.... shoot me a pm.... were planning on heading that way on the 5th..... maybe a caravan....?

everything said here is true, what should be asked is why not to go? to stay home for the week in the cold (not me)....there's plenty more reasons.

all about the streets in Otown.

 

Its the one place where you can see ALL the top stunters, party with everyone and basically run an entire city for a week.
