What can euros do?

it used to be when i watched a euro stunt vid id be impressed at their skill level, but it seems like today all the super advanced tricks they used to be the only ones doing a lot of american riders are doing just as good..**** like all kinds off off the peg circles and coasters..all i see are stoppie into burnout combos and foot in bar circles anymore..correct me if im wrong but it seems like american riders are becoming the stunt innovators..no disrespect.... just a thought.

Re: What can euros do?

The stuntscene in america is So big!!
so to compete they have to out do each other.
Then the best way to do that is with new tricks
so the development is larger then in europe
so off course they are innovaters..
US guys are crazy
trying everything..

the only country in europe that has a big stunt scene is France.

in europe you see now alot of differences.
some stunt euro style and some american style.

but make a long story short.
most new tricks come's from the states.

so the only crazy guys trying new stunts are the sissies in france???? From high school through part of college I studied a total of 6 years of french and consider myself a micro-expert on them......wimps

I think the only words I can remember though is the cuss words and a few insults.

I would rather watch american stunts than european stunts anyday....american is more raw and hardcore.....european is all about motorcross jerseys, 3/4 helmets, and matching their bikes paint with their jerseys........personally I like brown construction boots, dark bue jeans, baggy t-shirt that might be under a jacket or not......and full faced helmets or motorcross helmets....we leave the 3/4 helmets to the cops around here

the typical european stereotype is flawlessness. they absolutely have perfected the tricks they can do.

believe me, they are pushing just as hard as we are

Re: What can euros do?

It's not that it's only French people trying the new stunts, but if you take England/Great Britain for example.. we have no where to ride... stunting here is highly illegal, do a wheely in front of a copper and you'll probably get banned for 6months to a year for dangerous driving

There are no decent spots to practice, no where really quiet either, so we don't get to practice whenever we like in the way that americans do and the french seem to have it pretty good like usa too.

If the UK had the same freedom as the USA we'd be just as good, both us and uk stunters would learn lots from each others styles, lots of new tricks would be created and the stunt industry would boom :YEAH

But this is Nanny State Great Britain so it will never happen. There are some good stunters in the UK now.. the VBSX, 444 riderz and various other people over on the vbsx forum all pushing the uk stunt scene up a rung on the ladder. One day we'll reach the top and be able to have stunt comps and **** like in the USA :YEAH for now we can only dream, and practice with fear of police busting us everywhere we go

The way I see euro stunters is a lot of practice so most seem to be a lot smoother than americans, both very good styles but thats how they differ...

Oh and you'd never catch me in a open face helmet and mx jersey stunting I do wear leathers admittedly, but always got a hoody over them. Wear a MX helmet on the KTM but going to get a road helmet for the f4i.

Re: What can euros do?

i'm sure there are riders in europe we have no idea about, the same as in the US, it's like if they don't have a computer, and know some big riders they dont' exist... there is **** goin on we have no idea about... as far as stuntwars goes, it'll be sick, everyone will get along, good competition, if it were a war, those lil frenchies would be crying

Re: What can euros do?

I've never had a desire to travel overseas, but with this riding thing I really would like to go elsewhere and kill the streets! Ya gotta figure that we look at people like A.C as an icon, but how many people over there think of alot of us guys like that? I'm sure if our dvd's are getting out of ther country it's gotta be a good balance.

LET THEIR WIGS LAY ON THE PAVEMENT

that's a weak excuse. I can't ride anywhere that I don't have some type of connection to either. In sacramento, California if you touch the streets with any kind of modified bike or doing any stunts chp will beat your ***, take your bike, and you'll spend a few in jail if they feel like it. That may be lienient compared to where you're at but it's enough to keep me off the streets.

The riding spots are another thing.....there's no spots left that the cops don't know about. We were riding at a warehouse my buddy owned for years....then the street racers showed up and shot at each other...now we can't even ride there and "we" own it.

The last spot left that we're untouchable at is pretty hammered. but it's home LOL

you need to go talk with and make friends with rich business owners. There's always a way in. It may take a while to get in the right circle of friends (4 years of trying before we got it) but once you're in then the avenues open up.

Re: What can euros do?

yeah it's fcked how these fast n furious kids fvck up spots.. same thing happened with us, except without the gunplay.. they would come in and rip e brakes while we're tryin to ride and ruined our perfect spot for us.. i hate that ****

My dad owns units by a good stunt spot.. would be good if it weren't so busy with trucks going everywhere picking **** up.

I do have one good stunt spot that I've never had any trouble at.. it's a pretty good spot really but I don't go there too often and tend to ride with standard exhaust/bike to not draw much attention

The other places I go to the police seem to turn up within 30 mins

Sacramento sounds just as bad though, shame really I've been thinking of moving to Cali when I finish my apprenticeship, San Diego sort of area. For now though I just try to avoid the police and be cautious of which spots I chose

Would be cool to find a warehouse owner and stunt inside.. whenever you want that'd be wicked. :YEAH

You are not reading right..

I said the only country where the stuntscene is big in europe is in France..

Riders that make new tricks are from all over europe.
Like RUS extreme (lives in Spain)
Pfeifer (1 o clock wheelie)
And one from brestunt had also a trick can't remember the name..
Just a few examples..

and like a said there are to kind of stunters in europe.
Eurostyle and american style..
Not everyone had a jethelmet and motorcross wear that matches the bike
that are a view

I actually love watching Christian Pfiefer and A.C.Farius ride, but not as much as Darius, Dan Jackson, Kane, Streetfighterz, and especially the StarBoyz. I got lots of respect for euro stunters.

I agree with Teach though....euro stunt clips I've seen, the tricks were perfected and super smooth...so I think euros are pushing just as hard, they just focus on diffrent aspects. I personally like watching someone ride crazy, but in control, where they look like they might wreck anytime but you're constantly amazed when they never do. ........Kinda like the difference between figure skating and Hockey......I like watching haockey more, unless the woman figure skating in angelina jolie and she's naked pulling a leg behind her head!!!!!!

Funnily enough I do live near Brighton!! I live in Portsmouth, about 45 minute drive to Brighton, maybe a bit further but it's not that far really

Post up in the Stuntlife VBSX forum (under international riders) when you're coming over and I'm sure you'd get to see some of the UK stunt scene

The weather over here is fine in the summer, as in june/july.. last year it was pretty dry year I think, perfectly stuntable weather from march/april time down here in the South! Bit cold but dry .. summer warms up a fair bit.. but lots of winter

Re: What can euros do?

you US guys have a pretty twisted image of euro stunter...it's just that in most european country's there aren't as near as good conditions for stunting...you also have a very developed stunt industry and therefore cheaper and more available parts. You obviously don't know that buying a stunt parts like cage, bar etc. is almost impossible in europe. Also you don't know that in most underdeveloped countrys (like mine) bikes cost almost double than in US and average incomes are approx. 5x lower than yours. What you see at big euro comps is realy not a true image of reality.

haha i used to skateboard, for 10 years until i busted my knee, shoulder and wrist. so i was influenced by freestyle street sport since the age of 13.. and i´m stuck with about 40 pairs of shoes to fu)k up (thank you Osiris Skate Shoes, they used to sponsor me )
would love to ride in the US too though!..
remember when Tony D went to amsterdam and he posted on his forum that he asked some riders what their inspiration was? well those riders were me and jeremy dutch, and our inspiration was 12 o'clock, USBW, starboyz, etc!
i knew that stuff before i knew about Farias and Craig Jones and Chris Pfeiffer!
