Re: Hnadbrake idea?

yeah, i really hope u mean fiddy's or bicycles.. and u're going to tie a line to the pedal? hmm, yeah sounds great, give it a go

be smart, run a perch from the bars, down to the swingarm, another line feed perch, then make a 90* bracket connected to the brake rod, and thread the line through that, and get a wire clamp, wa la

If not your going to end up like buddy in that other post sittin 6 feet under.. Spend the money,,, How can you dump 1000 dollars on a helmet no problem but you wont spend 400 on a fullthrottle handbrake ??

Ive learned that going the cheap route your almost never save in the end........Do it right the first time and thats that...

I dont think youll get anywhere near the same amount of feel out of a cable setup that connects to a hydraulic setup

Re: Hnadbrake idea?

well first off it would never have the power that a hydralic line has, the cable will strecth and you will loose TONS of braking force. i can't imagine it even effectivly slowing the bike down. Nice thought, i even thought of that same thing when i first went to hook-up a HB, but then realized what others have said. A HB is sometimes all there is between you and a nasty getoff, so having something solid is important.

If you are looking for a friendly costing, tried and true, reliable and extremely effective HB setup, check my Sig for GP Tech info, if you have a front master of your own, you can buy EVERYthing else you need for a complete set-up for around $100. tell Geoff i sent you over and he'll give you a deal. I've been using them for 2 years now and i love it!

Re: Hnadbrake idea?

I hate to say it but I really wish that I would have gone with the Full Throttle setup. I hate it that my HB is held in place by lots of JB weld (temporary til it's welded) because the fitting was too small to hold the pressure of the fluid.
don't cheap out on the handbrake at all.

Re: Hnadbrake idea?

Cool thats where my uncle lives when I went about a year after the war the side of his house facing serbia looked like swiss cheese because of all the bullet holes, and you couldnt go through serb boaders at night.

How you ride a sportbike there amazes me the roads there were terrible.......

Re: Hnadbrake idea?

Darius had a cable looping through a nut that was welded onto his FI cage, that pulled down the foot lever. It worked like ****, but he used it to film the 11 o'clock high chairs in Servin' it up 2.

How's that for stunt history 101???

Now....who knows the name of the adult film Dan Jackson was in?
