I hope so. Interest in what we do from people outside of the community is vital to the continued existance of said stuntriding community. So to answer your question the best I can (I'm sure there are others that might be able to lend a different or more useful perspective); I don't have an 05 gixxer, so I'll leave the cage debate up to someone else, but as for your wheelies..... The slower you go the faster they will come up, given the same RPM (that you are revving the motor to), the higher the rpm the faster they will come up. What is important is that you just experiment on your own to find out what is comfortable and practice so you become consistant. As you feel more at ease, rev the motor more at slower speeds (to bring it up faster so you have more time to ride it out). The big thing is to practice and cover the back brake. Before you know it you will be clutching them up from a walking speed and creeping them. Don't worry so much about mph or rpm, just listen to the motor and keep your eyes forward.

Check out the stickies at the top of help and how to for wheelies - there are pages and multiple threads of good info from experienced riders. There are more than enough threads on here for cages.

For a gixxer get a track cage from MXD $150.. Had 905 which loves to bend and smash case covers and will roll up to bend and break your clip - ons, upper faring and stay. But hey - "It's only $"

Well truthfully I have no problem helping new stunters with my experience with aftermarket products and riding skills. Buutt, since ther are stickies and a reterded amount of threads on the questions he asked, also to add stuntlifes rep on bashing re-posted threads. I figured it may be nasty...

I enjoyed your little quote though.

Re: I Need Help

I'm sure we're all happy to help you in your drama. I'd read the how to wheelie thread and study it, then go out and BE WILLING TO CRASH. You've got a new bike so you might not want to be that wanting to scratch the pretty thing up but it's part of the game. As for the kind of bike/cage debate, a cage is a cage and a bike is a bike. Some people have preferences because of trial and error and past experience and who they're sponsored with. I'd recommend a FI cage and for you to learn how to wheelie before you put a 12bar on there for your own safety.

Re: I Need Help

if you're riding through gears, you're not in BP, plain and simple. don't get all defensive when I didn't flame you.

Re: I Need Help

you're all flaming...
and captain serious bill mcmahon up there. bring it up faster so you can ride it out longer? i hate that term "ride it out" that means you're not at bp. and dude who made this thread, i have no idea your skill level, ppl are just tired of seeing ppl come on here with no idea what they are doing, an dputting a 12 bar on their bike and hurting themselves with it... if you're starting to get them slow.. that's good, as long as you're using brake to slow it down, and not just thinking bringin it up at 5 mph and then bangin limiter in 100 yrds is a slow wheelie... go with a FI for the gixxer

You cant just jump right in and rock it slow,

But like i said befor take it right to the bp then you wont have to be on the throttle so you can play around alil more then work from there.Cover the rear break incase you take it back to far.

Re: I Need Help

first bike, you DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING on it. it's that simple, yeah I'm hatin a little bit and you're gonna get offended.

take time and learn how to ride your bike, wait til next spring and get out there and learn how to stand up and clutch it.

sorry bro but it's better you wait and learn your bike then us reading about your in the RIP section or seeing something on the news.
