Dirt Bike pegs

Anyone know where I can get some dirtbike (strong pegs) for my 03 R1? I have seen some on some bikes, and wondering how they put them onto there rearsets. They seem very strong and won't brake after dropping the bike a couple times. Thanx..J :YEAH

Re: Dirt Bike pegs

if the peg doesnt brake something else will break/bend, i think its better if ur peg snaps vs whatever else might break.

No doubt, but what I am saying is that I don't want the thing to be on the verge of breaking and when I go to do a stand-up or whatever, the think snaps, and bam....my *** is on the ground. I saw some on Wood's bike and they look like they might be a good idea inorder to avoid such crap. J

You may already know this, but make sure you at least change out the bolts on the pegs to a grade 8. This is a common problem from what i hear. I had an 03 and My left one snapped on a stand up. No crash but the near heart attack almost killed me.

not to mention ruining a perfectly good pair of Hanes!!!!! My stock Honda peg on one side hit first and broke the rearset, but the same thing happened on the rear passenger peg and it snapped of leaving a perfect bracket. Both sucked, but the peg was ALOT cheaper!!! E-bay it up when you get a little ahead on bills and have some extra footpegs

+1 I broke 2 off in the last couple days 1 I didnt even crashed just came down kinda hard and the peg broke but I would rather that than my rearset.. pegs are cheap.. But anyway If u do want to go with dirtbike pegs I would buy after market rearsets.
