anyone stunting a 600RR?

i am thinking about buying a crashed 04 600RR but was wondering if anyone has any input to this. I know allot of A-holes are going to tell me to get an f4i or 636 but thats not what i want to hear. i just want to know if anyone stunts the 600RR and how they like it pro/cons that kind of schit.

Not sure about stunting one, but I have an 05 I occasionally 12 around town and It's hands-down the best bike I've ever rode. Rock solid.

Re: anyone stunting a 600RR?

i was wondering the same thing.... even though its a honda i'd be worried about it holding up like a yamaha since it is designed to be a track bike

only 35,000+ miles on it running the shyt outta out every single day!!!!!

I rode it for months -1/+21 on the highway at 70ish to and from work and school........motor wailing the whole way to and from....then "delayed oil changes from time to time when money was tight too!!! I did not treat that motor very nicely, but I promise I'll treat the next one nicer....I'm only geared -1/+13 now and ride on the highway ALOT less now!!! Plus I've stocked up on oil and oil filter, along with K&N filter recharger packs for the air filter!!! Now I'm trying to talk StuntEX into making me an oil pickup if I send them parts from my old motor!!!

Promise I'll be nicer to my new 1,100 mile motor!!!....Yeah Right!

is that geared miles or what? cause before i took my gauges off my bike read 18+ but its really only around 10ish...... but yea, highway at 70 with 20+ teeth will kill anything

have any issues with the frame or subframe?

how is the sub frame made on the RR's? is it tubular like the F4i's or is it cast like the yamaha's?

Re: anyone stunting a 600RR?

Subframe is a cast 2-piece. Tweaks really easy, just had to bend mine back straight from a light laydown. Hopefully it holds up better to the hits from a 12 bar (not like I'll get there anytime soon, but eventually)

subframe is Cast...BUT the 03-04 model is pretty beefy and mine has held up good....apehangers and cliffhangers with a fat guy(Brian...midweststunters.com...haha) on it and it isn't even remotely tweaked....plus my 250ish pound frame scraping it didn't phase it at all!!!!

Most of my miles were not geared....about 12,000 with stock gears, and indicated 8,000 with +2 rear sprocket, then another 8,000 with +7 rear...about another 2500 with the -1/+21 gearing indicated before streetfightering it out....the rest is a guestimate, but would almost bet I under estimated the rest!!!! Made a slow transition from Highway stunts to the lot!

The frame seems to be bullet proof so far, have dropped it, with 905 cage, in the lot slow and fast, sliding and straight fall on its side, and have dropped it at 60mph on the highway....pretty hard......I broke off bar ends and the tip of my brake lever.....I cut the clutch lever to make sure it matched

I've been very happy with how I've abused it and how bad I've treated it, especially +20 geared, 3rd gear highway spreaders at high RPM's for long periods of time.....and countless multi-mile standups in 6th gear.

Only ***** is oil satrvation when its on it right side.....thats how the motor blew!!!! Doing my first 2 chainsaw burnouts burned the motor......no issues before then!!!!

Re: anyone stunting a 600RR?

i wonder if the plastic tank cover is removable and then the tank could be dented in? The 600RR i am looking at is a smokin deal but maybe i will wait until i get some more response b4 i buy it. Are the plastics weak like the 636's are?
