well it was a big drop in power, which meant less fun on the street but smoother in the lots. but main thing was the f4i like all hondas are just uncomfortable bricks to sit on, i really hated the bike. it was amazing for stoppies cuz i put a 1000rr front end on it but other than that i still dont see the facination with those bikes, it stalls super easy and in general wasnt fun to ride. i think i actually rode better on the gix, but the real revelation for me was the 636, thats the bike i honestly learned most everything on. i tried a 600rr for a bit last year and hated it as well, the 636 is just unbeatable for smooth consistant power on a comfortable set up.

Re: cage for 04 750

My boys got a 07 Gixxer750 and he only rides with a power cage. Seen him go down hard a couple times and he sands it and paints it. no bends just a ding here and there.

gsxr frames are inherinly weak especially the newer ones and powers mounting system mounts the bar to impact the flat wall of the frame as opposed to impacting into the thick engine mount part so its just a disaster waiting to happen and theres been more than enough threads on this site showing powers cages denting in or cracking the frames of gsxrs and 600rr's especially.

ive ridden every bike that exists for jap sport bikes and the 06+gix would be my last choice. id take a ******* 96 f3 over one of those bikes. the idle pulls like a wet turd and half of em got issues, the frames break sometimes for no reason, the rims break. man my best friend just got rid of his 06 for an f4i after a year of me trying to convince him and he thanks me about every day now. gsxr's are junk bikes for stunting, i really like them for a general street/track bike. but im positive for your money you could find a much better bike.

Re: cage for 04 750

As of right now the 2 bikes I have a easy chance of getting are a 05 CBR600 and a 06 GSXR750.

Easy for me to get them just because they are good friends and i can pick them up pretty easy. Not many sportbikes around this area are selling. And when they are they are like 7500 bucks for a 2005. its nuts. add another grand and you can pick up a new one.

I already notice the uncomfortable part of it but as far feeling like a lighter and smaller bike it seems to be more controlable. I guess I will see but thanks for replying.
